The food wasn't good. The service was horrible. We left most of the food and asked the waitress a couple of times for extra drinks and forgot each time. Will never go back.
I simply can't enjoy Chinese food here in Costa Rica and the Chung San is no different. It's over priced and oily and greasy. Service is mediocre at best but at least you get your food fairly quickly.
dirty, food stinks , bad service, extremely expensive for no reason will never go there again. try local Puntarenas sodas , they are much better than this place
After many years of absence because I'm not living in Costa Rica, I returned to dinner at this Restaurant and the surprise was very pleasant. The place attractive modern, and very broad menu and exotic dishes. Knew him almost since opening and the effort paid...off. Now those who have taken over, have been proposed to maintain the quality of their food. If you go to Puntarenas, this restaurant will fill your expectations of Chinese food. Highly recommended.More
We have been here about 4 times and the food has always met our expectatives. The service is also good and the wait time is minimum. The atmosphere is nice, the restaurant is air conditioned and the prices are acceptable for the quality of the...food. Great place overall.More
Not bad for Chinese in Costa Rica. The best value are the meals for 2, 3, 4, etc... persons. It took a little bit for the food to come out but it was pretty. Good. Although. I would not advise ordering the calamari it wasn't...very good; however we ate it all.More
Whenever possible my husband and I eat here or order ahead and take something "To Go". We live in a remote area and when we pass through Puntarenas en route to the ferry home or SJO it is a treat when we stop and have...a chance to enjoy consistently great food, very fresh and tasty. I always order a noodle dish without the sauce and my husband orders a dish loaded in sauces that are not too heavy or loaded with condiments. They have even suggested packing the sauces separate from the noodles given that we have a 3 hour trip till we reach our home which made a huge difference at the table. The restaurant itself is large and open, very clean and the staff is very friendly and service is excellent. Chinese food in CR is different than what I was used too in the states but now that I have learned the differences and love what they prepare here I can definitely say this is one of my all time favorite Chinese restaurants.More
My family and I have been dining here for over 10 years! The food and service is consistently great! We crave and plan trips around having the house Sopa China,it is not your avarage egg drop soup. Sizzling Steak is very good and very tender....The portions are huge! Bring an appitite!!More
