I visited April of 2017 with some high school students I was touring with. This restaurant is situated on the mountainside overlooking the valley where the capital city of San Jose rests. The climb is steep and the entrance is unassuming. All you see is a gravel lot and maybe a tile roof. But once you step down to the... More

At a very high level, nearing the top of a mountain, this restaurant offers a spectacular view! The show is a Costa Rican themed dance and was a nice touch. The food was good, as was the presentation.

We visited Mirador Tiquicia with the EF Tour group as part of our "Folklore Evening". The food was tasty and served to us from within the kitchen, buffet-style. The room décor added to the setting. The proprietor, Senor Roberto Schlicker, took great care of us and made sure everything went smoothly. Of course, the highlights of the evening was the... More

It can be tricky getting here because this restaurant is on a mountainside overlooking the central valley. Not recommended at night if you don't know the road but fine with Uber. There are several different areas where you can eat or just have coffee but remember it can be cool up here even on a hot day. We just had... More

Poor food quality in small portions with five stars restaurant price. Do to you a favor and choose any other place to eat. I'm a traveller and I know for sure this is no worthy place with so many Costariican "tipico" Cousin options out there.

The location is on top of a mountain and worth just going for the view!!! Dinner was a buffet and delicious. They had a full bar. Dancing was nice. I would have liked a little descriptions of the dances, but the people were great. Very enjoyable for families. There was dancing for all downstairs afterwards. We did not participate.

I'm not entirely sure what the 3 star reviews are about.....I will tell you how we saw it: 1. Incredible setting - where can you get that view of San Jose? Few restaurants in the world offer a setting like this. And RUSTIC, not just some 5-star lodge. 2. Incredible food - Don Roberto was right there in the kitchen... More

I came here with customers for dinner and it is obvious that this place gets lots of its income from tour groups, whose meal is included in the cost of their evening and sip on a glass of water while gorping at the extremely average dance show. The views of the city are stunning, the restaurant itself is al fresco... More

After a long day of work in Heredia, my local colleagues told us that there's a restaurant in the mountains that they'd like to take us. The views turned out to be amazing, and so did the food. The cooks in the kitchen make everything fresh, and it definitely has local flavors. Everything we all tried was really tasty, I... More

Second time here and no disappointment. Great Tico food in a perfect setting. The only thing missing was a pad for the chairwhich the owner quickly provided.
