Found this little gem by reading TripAdvisor reviews. The restaurant and staff did not disappoint. The only disappointment was that it was raining and the famous view of San Jose was hidden by clouds most of the evening. The food and waitstaff more then made up for the hidden view. The waitstaff was extremely attentive and friendly.

On the last evening of our stay in Costa Rica we went to this elegant restaurant high above the hills overlooking the Central Valley. We had booked this tour through our hotel and the cost was $75 per person which included transportation, buffet style dinner, soft and/or alcoholic drinks (as much as you want) and the folklore show. I thought... More

I came to restaurant due to the reviews in trip advisor for our wedding anniversary. The food was delicious and the view was gorgeous. We made an early reservation because I wanted to see the sun set, but it was raining and really foggy so I couldn't see anything. When we were about to leave it cleared up a lot... More

My husband and I decided to visit this restaurant last min for our wedding anniversary. When we tired to read the bad reviews on trip advisory to comments wouldn't load, so we decided to go anyway. The drive up the mountain was long and little scary since the other civilians was driving a little crazy, anyways when we arrived a... More

This was truly an awesome experience. Getting there was the most difficult part. Great view of the city in the valley and really good food. Staff here was friendly and accommodating. There is also a cultral show that let patrons participate. What a awesome experience. This is a must if you ever visit Costa Rica.

Mountain restaurant and lookout point with an excellent view of the capital city of San José, the city of Heredia, Tres Ríos, Aserrí and the Irazú Volcano. Located at 5870 feet above sea level, with 2 fireplaces and decorated like home it has a cozy and warm ambiance. An outside patio with an open firepit and park benches around, attracts those who likes to take pictures of the scenery. With 49 years in business, now we have a menu that combines the best of Costa Rica and international cuisine and a selected list of wines. The Ram Luna was initiated by the family Ramírez Aguilar, Gilber and Moraima, who still live in the property and keep running the restaurant.
