We wanted to have a yummy bfast and were quite disappointed!!!! First the service was awful... I think understaffed since not all tables where busy. The eggs Benedict were the daily special, we ordered with salmon. The eggs were over poached very little sauce and the salmon was paper thin... We ordered a almond croissant.... Horrid!!! We asked for water... More

We ordered a cinnamon bun with raisins. It melted in our mouth, not too sweet, moist and flaky. Can't wait to try other items in the bakery.

Like the place for breakfast/lunch. I have been here two times and I think I will become a frequent customer. Service is very good, the coffee and the french toast are delicious!!!

Not a bad stop for a coffee with something sweet or salty to go with it. Coffee is good, the pastry is homemade and made with effort. Worth the money. Price: $10 per meal Recommendation: Chicken Curry Pie

I've been enjoying trip to Costa Rica and breakfast/lunches at Chez Cristophe for several years, and it is a consistently good choice. The outdoor seating area is quite pleasant and the food is always good - I particularly enjoy the smoked salmon ravioli, which I can order in half-portions. The service can be slow, but take your time, relax, and... More

Whenever I am in the Escazu area I always make a special trip to Chez Cristophe. I love the pizza squares (for breakfast) in the bakery case, chocolate croissants and lattes. I have never been disappointed with anything I have ordered here. Recommended!

I haven't eaten in the restaurant in over a year, which, by the way, has always been excellent. When we're in the neighborhood we always stop and buy pastries and bread to take home. They make the best french bread, brioche, and pastries in all of Costa Rica. If you buy it once you will be completely addicted.
