Cannot recommend enough. Wait staff was knowledgeable, attentive and patient with non-Spanish guests. Exceptional wine list and all very reasonably priced. We decided to "just eat at the hotel" after a long day. Just goes to prove accidents do happen. Turned out to be one of the best dinners for us in all of Costa Rica.

Beautiful restaurant, beautiful food! It is a must when in San Jose. The tartar was exquisite, the rillettes outstanding and the pasta dishes memorable! Huge wine list to chose from, knowledgeable waiters ready to help in a classy old fashioned way. Highly recommended.

Had both a dinner and a breakfast as we passed through San Jose. The setting is stunning on a clear night: a shaded patio with large umbrellas and comfy chairs. The decor is quite upscale, though the service felt like it had a bit further to go to be at the same level as the ambience. Lots of local-inspired (or... More

This restaurant is simply amazing! The atrium style with tables in the middle as well as all around is very classy and beautiful. My wife had the best sea bass she's ever had while my beef tenderloin was really delicious. For dessert, the coffee cream pie is a piece of heaven in your mouth.....

We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant's beautiful courtyard during our stay at the Hotel Grano de Oro. For dinner, the macadamia encrusted sea bass was delicious. The smoked salmon eggs benedict special was a wonderful treat for breakfast. Coffee was very good and the service was excellent. Prices were high, but the location felt special.

Food was great; very tasty and nicely arranged. The sea bass with cardamom was delicious and the merengue dessert as well. The service however was a hit and miss. One of the waiters was really nice and attentive, but some other ones were very uninterested. The decor and atmosphere is very classic, slightly heavy.

Excellent service and good menu which helped us recover from our flight. It would be good to go there when we were not so tired!
