I visited this restaurant during my trip to Costa Rica, if I have one regret about my trip it would be that I only ate here one time. From the appetizers to the entree everything was better than the dish that preceded it.We started with the cheese play, it was amazing, For an entree I had the Pork Tenderloin and... More

The food, however is nothing special. You won't hate your food, but you will find serious execution problems in every dish... that is, if you are at... More

El Grano de Oro is one of my favorites in San Jose. Good food and service. A good wine selection also. The building and ambient are very nice.

When I last rated this place I underrated the place, but lunch yesterday was exquisite. We are not big esters so we often do is order one entrée and another thing. Yesterday it was their heavenly ravioli and their Frisee salad. It is rare for us to ever wipe the plates clean, but we thoroughly enjoyed our unhurried lunch in... More

Celebrating our first 6 months together, my girlfriend invited me for a Sunday breakfast at Grano de Oro (we are locals). There are outside tables in the center terrace but we chose an inside table close to the window. Decoration is beautiful all around, not only for the Restaurant but also the Hotel, which seemed to be full occupied. It... More

Visited Grano de Oro for dinner. It is a beautiful setting. The courtyard area is quaint and romantic. It would be perfect for a date. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious.
