Had a great seat on the deck facing the sea, smoked pork belly burger tasty and fresh . The woman singing and playing guitar had a amazing voice and a delight to listen too whilst having a drink and lunch. Staff forgot to ask if...More

Trader Jacks sounds like a relaxed place, and that's exactly how we felt when we had lunch here with our party of 6. Delicious cocktails, and wonderful friendly service while we sat out on the verandah overlooking the ocean. The salt and pepper squid was...More

Made a reservation on the Monday morning for that night, just before sunset. When we arrived, they were fully booked! We had a fantastic table outside in the corner with a great view of the harbour. The food was good, not overly special but nice....More

Popped in for lunch In September. Lovely restaurant and view from the tables. The service was adequate, but improved when Jase started walking around and personally talking to everyone. We were very impressed with the ability to deal with the dietary requirements of our group,...More

Friendly Staff, Good Food and Great Value. Only one down side the drinks service was a little lacking, our drinks orders came out one by one and they did take a long to come.

It's hard to fault this place, in fact the food could be awful and with the location you wouldn't care. The food is really good - we had parrot fish, it was excellently cooked. My only criticism was the sweet potato fries, I was the...More

We took the bus from Muri and enjoyed some great views and good pizza. Enjoyed their house lager and sav blanc. Recommend you call ahead to get a table outside on the deck.

Trader Jacks is similar to other restaurants in Rarotonga. Good value, nothing fancy but fresh. I had very good fish and salad, it was good. One thing, NZD 5 for water from the drinking tap in a 1 litre bottle, why?

Great vibe, cool sunsets and good food. DO NOT go here for a cocktail though - for $25 you get a jug full of ice and some sugary juice. DO try the pizza or poke bowl.More

Thanks for taking the time to write a review. It seems a little harsh considering the only thing you didn't like was our cocktail on tap? Our current cocktail served from the beer taps is a FULL STRENGTH Moscow mule, but I agree our tap...More

Sunday is always difficult here. Trader Jacks is open six nights a week with Sunday a day off for the hard working team. Bamboo Jacks is open on Sundays for an awesome dinner and a great selection of drinks.

Jack Cooper has owned Trader Jacks for over thirty years with his business partner Chris Douglas. Chris runs all of the menus and Jack is the face and money man. Just like the restaurant, he's a bit of an icon around the... More
