Many of our friends and family recommended we try Trader Jacks during our stay in Rarotonga. Unfortunately we were incredibly disappointed - service was terrible, food was bland and poorly presented. We definitely won’t be back.

The staff were relaxed and perhaps preoccupied with the prospect of another long shift into the early morning. The food was well prepared and was served in a timely manner. The location on the lagoon is first class though the earth works on the adjacent...More

Food okay but be prepared for a long wait. Seemed understaffed and were struggling with the numbers coming in, although there were free tables still available.

This is a place where you can have Cook Islands local beer. It is located in the centre of Avarua. It is right next to the lagoon so I believe an ideal place to watch sunset.

People we were with booked this as its so iconic. The views are lovely but the cigarette smoke not so much. Service was amazing, the ladies were so friendly and kind but the food really didnt live up to expectations. Way better options out there...More

Every time we are here we come to Trader Jacks frequently. The 13 year old loves the pizza and the cocktails are great for adults too. Enjoy a part of Cook Is. history....

This is the place to spend the evening. Great bar with some lovely views. Food is very tasty and service very good. They do serve some fantastic vegetarian food too.

“You have to go to Trader Jacks” is what we were told, so we did. The staff were lovely and so helpful the atmosphere felt good. My beer arrived in a glass that had lipstick on the rim, wow that caused some concern. The Calamari...More

Trader Jacks is a cool place to sit and relax either at the bar or at one of the tables looking out to the water. The food is delicious and the prices of the drinks are very reasonable. The staff are cool too :)

Sunday is always difficult here. Trader Jacks is open six nights a week with Sunday a day off for the hard working team. Bamboo Jacks is open on Sundays for an awesome dinner and a great selection of drinks.
