About
Whether ordering a burger the size of your head, Alderwood smoked ribs that fall off the bone, or a local organic salad the food at the 49th will not disappoint. Our award winning craft beer is brewed on premises and can be enjoyed in the beer garden while playing disc golf, bocce ball, horseshoes, or bags. The 49th's outdoor concert series brings acts such as: The Wailers, Trampled by Turtles, Dark Star Orchestra, Keller Williams, Pato Banton, and Matt Lewis and the Medicine. The "Into the Wild" bus from the movie is in the garden and visitors are welcome to go aboard to see the memorabilia on display. As we are located 8 miles north of the Denali hub, we offer a local shuttle for a worry free

Great brewery near Denali National Park. Due to COVID and staffing shortages, there weren't a lot of options for restaurants near Denali National Park. Highly recommend reservations as the first night we tried to go, the wait was over 2 hours at 6:30pm. We made...a reservation for the following night so we wouldn't have to wait as long. The staff were all amazing despite the large crowd. Our server was very friendly, upbeat and attentive. Great beer selection and huge menu available. Lots of non-beer options as well if you aren't into beer. I had the parmesan and asiago crusted haddock and it was probably the best fish I have ever had. It's been 2 months since I ate there and I am still thinking about it. Highly recommend!More

We went fairly early for dinner at 4:45 pm. It was already fairly busy. We got a flight - and then had the pulled pork/fries and salmon/rice. Both very good. My favorite part though was seeing the "Into the Wild" bus outside. I didn't know...it was parked there, but if you liked the book/movie - a nice visit.More

Not only is the food delicious, the environment is really cool! There’s a big outdoor fire pit, games and entertainment. The crabby grilled cheese is delicious and so is their seafood chowder. My husband loved it so much that we stopped at the location in...anchorage so he could have the sandwich again.More

Oh my goodness! If you get the chance to eat here, you have to order the blueberry cream soda. It is the best. I had the mushroom burger, and it was excellent. The atmosphere is very inviting. There is a firepit setup with seating around...it so you can eat and watch the flames dance around plus they have outdoor activities for entertainment. This is the place to eat if you are in town!More

An absolutely charming brewery and restaurant. The decor is warm and welcoming. You feel like you are visiting a friend. The seafood chowder has big chunks of fish. Onion rings were enormous and delicious. The sampler of beers was great. Especially loved the stout. My...son liked the pizza and the Baby Back Ribs fell off the bone! Great place.More

Seriously one of the best meals we had during our two week trip. We saw a large crowd and decided to be there at opening the next day - make sure you are there at opening because that line filled up quickly. Or even smarter...- make a reservation! The food is worth it. Had the fish and chips and the fish was moist with a nice batter. Tried my friends bacon wrapped bison meatloaf and it was delicious. And finished the meal with the chocolate pie - I took most of it home and enjoyed it later. It was pretty tight in there, but you can see why it’s so popular.More

When every place in Alaska is suffering with zero help, this place has a large staff. The food and service are great. The ambiance is beautiful. They have the right energy in the place that many restaurants in Alaska are missing. And, we completely enjoyed...the bus that was used in the movie Into the Wild. Please visit.More

It started off well enough. We were told to expect a 20 minute wait for a table but it was only about 5 minutes. But then we waited over an hour for our food. We were told that somehow the order had not been submitted....It took an hour to determine that? The manager offered to give us a dessert but we were too full to eat a dessert so we were not compensated in any way. The food was okay but not anything special. Certainly not anything we would wait an hour for. We will not be back.More
