Campared to Hoi An or other markets like Ha Tien, it is a smaller, cleaner, less smelly and more tranquile experience. Also vendors are less aggressive and better prices generally than others tourist centers.

This is a very local experience and not at all geared to tourist. Actually that is what makes it so interesting. Good fruit and delicious dumplings along with other yummy street food for the adventurous.

Sadly, many markets have been relocated out of the cities in Vietnam. This one is still very much a central part of the town, heaving with people, with lots of goods and a great vibe. A photographers dream.

Every town in Vietnam has a market like this: big building with many shops located inside. This one ain't special in any way, so I would recommend that you visit one in another town. There are bigger, cleaner, more interesting ones than this one.

A busy market that sells everything and the vendors do not hassle you. Enjoy the food there, it is delicious.

Everyone gets on with their business and there is no harassment from anyone. People are friendly and curious and eager to help to fill your basket with baguettes, salad stuff and Laughing Cow cheese for your lunch. Easy to get lost but that's the fun of it.

Great little market place with a focus on seafood but with lots of the usual clothing and knick knack stalls also with a very good selection of cottons and other materials. Very easy to navigate around and prices seemed reasonable. a couple of hours spent browsing here will reward you well.

The place is good for people who love to shop for interesting merchandise. There are a wide selections of glossy dried fishes and some dry goods. The smell around is indeed fishy but is just right to capture local Chau Doc living. Such a buzzy sight! However, there were some male vendors who catcall somehow you wouldn't feel comfortable. Shrug... More

An amazing market that offers fish (dried or not), shells, vegetable, crabs, prawns, etc. Very colourful and so typically Vietnamese. A good experience to have in Mekong region - probably the most interesting think to do in Chau Doc (with the Cham village and floatting village).
