I had read up on this place as being the birthplace of Vlad Dracula. Once inside (the restaurant is upstairs), you can still see some original paintings. We made a reservation for 12 as we travelled as part of a group. They were happy to accommodate us and had no issues bringing us two extra chairs and brought the dinner... More

Went there with my husband in our first evening in Sighisoara. The restaurant was completely empty, but we thought it was because it was only 5 pm. I didn't like the deco of the room (looked pretty cheap) and the music (medieval type), but what was really unacceptable was that I found a hair! in my dish (polenta with pork... More

The restaurant is nice with traditional Romanian food. We had 2 soups (bean broth in bread) which where rally tasty. For the main dish, due to the fact that the soups are big, we had few "mici" also very tasty. What is also nice is the history of the place, being the place where Vlad Dracul (known as Dracula) was... More

We snuck in here for lunch one day and were surprised with one of the best meals we had the entire week we were in Romania. The soup, goulash, coffee and hot chocolate were all great. When you finish eating, be sure to take the tour of Vlad's rooms (only 5 Lei (about $1) per person) -- very fun.

If you an deal with spotty service the food here was good. Plus because Vlad the Impaler was supposedly born upstairs it was kind of a must stop tourist attraction. I had the cabbage rolls and polenta and was pleased with the quality. Bill was reasonable too.

The decor is great. Plenty of medieval stuffs and Dracula momentos. They even sell souvenirs so u don't have to go look for them. Nice restaurant and good quality food. Value for money located near the clock tower and the square.

Service was fine and friendly enough but not really there for very long. Just a quick look inside as well. It was hot and sunny in the courtyard part we were in.

The restaurant is not that impressive or inviting on the outside, but the historical significance is alluring. Vlad the Impaler, was supposedly born in this house in 1431. It is the oldest stone structure in Sighisoara. The meal we had there was very good, consisting of chicken, eggplant, unusual potatoes, etc. The service and atmosphere were very nice. It certainly...
