Well worth the trip off the beaten track. Only 5 mins off Highway One. Really lovely country atmosphere with tables in a sunny courtyard. And if you're travelling with kids, heaps of animals and playthings. Good menu but the ribeye was the standout which was super tender with a good heap of garlic butter and a manly portion of golden... More

I've been here 5 times and usually they are very good but I had a 'surprise' birthday party and I was so very disappointed. They had another big function coming so I had to have my tables orders pre ordered which was fine, we were given a set menu (which I understand with so many different people coming) but there... We went as family, 3 generations, the food options were not great but the prices were not over the top, quality was ok and quantity fine. We were disappointed with the lack of animals for the kids to interact with.

Only problem with the place is that GPS tells you that you are there when it is another 100m down the road. Great place though and the steak with either the mushroom or the garlic was beautiful. The chips were a highlight and would go back for them alone. Took a while to be served as it was busy but... More

We've been here several times over the years and this restaurant consistently maintains its high standard. Just love the rustic 'stables' brick interior, and there's outdoor tables for those fine days. I had excellent corn and spinach fritters with cold smoked salmon and husband chose the omelet with salmon. Both dishes came with a tasty garden fresh salad (wish salads... More

Meals were great and large, service was friendly and excellent. Lovely seeing the farm animals close by and being able to pat the donkeys a bonus.

Food is always of a high standard. Service is friendly and efficient. Love the country situation of The Stables. You can pat the donkeys, talk to the birds or watch the chickens. Really, really great place to escape to. No hurry to eat and run. Stay and just chill.

The Stables is more than just a place to eat, it's an activity. Perfect for families and locals to enjoy good food and pet farm animals! The kids have plenty of room to run around and is located far away from the road which is a bonus.
