Have eaten there many many times. Very close to home and is quite the hot spot. They have some very good dishes and several that I would never recommend. A lively place and it attracts most locals, as well as tourists.

Good food and western theme. Country and Western music on weekends. Outside eating area is good except for the fact that it is also the smoking area.

This place exceeded our expectations. A great bar with great staff and some of the best country music I've heard in a long time. Dance floor for the folks that can do that stuff and plenty of outdoor space. Great place to kick back.

We had the happy hour menu items. The wings were meaty, sauces were what they should be. The shrimp cevette was perfect. The beer was cold... can't ask for more.

If you saunter up to the bar at Harold's you will see folks who have been holding up the bar for the last 50 years. Cowboys of all ages are the staple. We like to go in once a week, have a draft and shot...More

What do you think about bringing a 5 and a 9 year old there. Grandsons coming out for a long weekend. Pinnacle Peak Patio closed for a condo development and we're looking for a new place for the boys.

In the 1930s, a man with the unlikely name of Johnny Walker built a bar called the Cave Creek Corral. Walker’s creation was an instant sensation with cowboys, playboys, politicians and laborers who gathered to drink A-1 beers at wooden tables under wanted posters.Harold Gavagan and his wife Ruth bought the Cave Creek Corral in the mid 1950s. Harold was quite a character, a depression-era Irish kid, a tough, but entertaining guy. Harold’s was a favorite movie location for Hollywood, attracting the likes of Dan Aykroyd, Bob Hope, Lynda Carter, Waylon Jennings and Dick Van Dyke. Cave Creek was not a short easy ride from Phoenix, in an effort to get visitors to Cave Creek, Harold acquired a trained lion and tiger act to entertain patrons.Once visitors were at Harold’s, he was concerned that they didn’t drink and stay long enough. So the building to the east of the restaurant became a bunkhouse, renting space for over night visitors.celebrities. Enjoy the fun atmosphere, interesting people and great food every day. We feature live country and western music Thursday-Sunday nights.Take a few minutes to browse the photographs on the walls of the characters and friends that frequent Harold’s.
