If your looking for a great BBQ meal in the old fashioned style this is the place to go. You line up for service, choose your beverage, main course, sides and desert, pay and seat your self either inside or outside. The home made Root Beer is excellent. BBQ meats include Chicken, Brisket, Ribs, Turkey, and pulled pork or chicken.... More

This was my first time eating at Joe's--my wife had been there before with family, and loved it. We thought the food was great --I got ribs and my wife got a potato loaded with brisket. But if you go there when it's crowded, just make sure you sit either in the main cafeteria section or outside. We sat in... More

We are able to reserve tables for a group of 40 and it worked out nicely. Food was good except they had run out of items at 7pm on a Friday. Not typical, so I'll be back.

OK! I didn't have a Stuffed Potato, but I saw one and boy was it big. We picked this place because it had turkey. We had a one meat plate. It had a skimpy portion of meat and the side was on the small side, also. The barbeque sauce was good. The drinks were a strange concoction of odd flavors... More

I have gone there a couple of times and tried different combos. The meat is overly smoked, caramelized and... dry. And what's with the painting on the wall? The person who painted has zero idea of what perspective means.

We went with a group, and to be perfectly honest, barbeque is not one of our favorite foods. That being said, however, we do know great barbeque from average, and this place is nothing great, and barely average. Brisket & ribs were both dry and lacking much taste without saucing them rather heavily. Beans & salad were decidedly average. Place... More

Last February we were in Gilbert to get together with assorted relatives some of whom lived in the Phoenix area and others who were wintering. It was suggested that we meet at Joe's. There was plenty of seating space for all and after we had eaten we were allowed to roam around outside for desert and the necessary picture taking.... More

You order your food at a counter then take it to a table indoors or outside. There are all kinds of combos you can try and all the sides were delicious. The restaurant ambiance was very western.
