Wonderful value. We loved the sweet potato and chili soup. All the entrées were great but I have to say that the ostrich was out of this world. Great wines, not marked up. Dinner for four came to just over $100.

Delicious south african meal. I remember we had extremely good springbok, the bobotie spring rolls and delicious prawns. Portions are quite large, so we had to skip the dessert...

We arrived for a pre booked meal here at 8pm. The restaurant was quiet and we were given a table in the middle by an open door when there were several more private tables available which was a little disappointing. The food was excellent. But...More

Situated in a heritage building with great attention to detail in decor with interesting twists. Excellent front of house manager and outstanding service. The menu is small but every course we had was delicious and well presented. We will certainly come back every year.

Every year we go at least once to Nguni's: always good food (the tender kudu steak was to die for!), busy atmosphere, good service. We'll be back again

Having been coming to Plett for several years, Nguni is one of our regular places to eat. Interesting food and good service. Apparently it is an old fisherman's cottage: no views but nice atmosphere. Having started with squid and bobote rolls, we then had kingklip...More

Individual , authentic interior - does not appear touristic . The food is of a really good quality , more classical than the attempt to produce something extraordinary.

After being in Hermanus and Wilderness where we were rather disappointed after being spoiled at the winelands, Nguni exceeded our expectations. We had a great starter with the Mezze platter and squids and as a main course beef and ostrich fillet which was very tender!...More

Nguni Restaurant Nostalgic with an African flair, Nguni is located in one of Plett's oldest buildings - an original dairy dating back over a hundred years. Nguni's African menu is a reflection of traditional selections like Bobotie, game, biltong, springbok, Karoo lamb, ostrich and other local favourites. With its beautiful sunny veranda or eclectic African interior with its original wood-burning stove, the Nguni Girls provide customers with a unique setting and superb menu. A true taste of the Cape!
