Like other reviews - slow and inattentive service overshadowed the whole experience. Waiter missing most of the evening and for a large group never saw a manager or anyone else to indicate dissatisfaction. Even my food disappointed - other members of the party enjoyed some of the signature dishes and especially pizzas. Don't be afraid of garlic though...

Good food & friendly service... but we waited a long time for our food and then we waited a long time for our dessert. Nice vibe if you like live music right next to you. The cigar smoke from the outside tables were very bad for us non smokers while we tried to enjoy our food.

After being recommended by friends we tried them out. Waiter did not have an idea on what beers and craft beers where on offer and menu also did not inform you. We were happy with food presented. When we got the bill, the waiter charged us for chilli, garlic and parmesan cheese on all pizza's when I only asked for... More

Been quite a few times - arrive early if you want to be able to sit near where the guitarists play - I like to be able to see - the back section is more for families with kids - Great pizza, always good plates of the day - cater for us fish eaters and great cakes to finish off... More

We have been regular customers to the Village Bistro for the last two years, and we have never been disappointed. The pizzas are well priced, overflowing with ingredients and very delicious. On Wednesdays they have live music as well, and in the rear section they have a kids play area. Their prices have always remained the same, and that is... More

After our last not so good experience we decided to try this restaurant again. We were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was packed with people having a good time. The pizzas are excellent and we also had a baked Kingklip which was very good. The prices are also good and a glass of wine is priced very reasonably. I can also... More

This small Bistro has an amazing selection of foods ranging from Pizza to Lamb Shank to very good Spaghetti Bolognese. On Wednesday nights this small restaurant transforms with 2 vocalists.

We stumbled upon this place by "accident" about 5 years ago. We used to visit on a monthly basis. Since I had a child, it is no longer possible to visit often. BUT if you want a little italian on your doorstep...visit this place. It is out of this world - a golden tip for starters: Focacia Tri Colore; Mains... More

It is the real deal - the little bistro down the road that does not break the bank, very good food, excellent service and wonderful atmosphere. I had the melanzone, which is as good as it gets, my husband a pasta so big I had some helpings and still enough left for a good human bag.
