This restaurant is the much anticipated offspring of Alfies Hazelwood (one block away). Incredible quality pizza, plus other Italian / South African favourites. Only let down: no craft IPA on tap.

We spent an early Saturday evening at Alfie's. Service was great, pizza was excellent! Ingredients are of top quality with a thin and crunchy base. I have had great pizza before but this was even better! Booking are essential and this restaurant is unfortunately not child friendly.

Alfies serves the best Pizzas in Pretoria. From the excellent pizza base to the yummy authentic generous toppings every mouthful is a winner. The atmosphere is relaxed the service good and attentive.

Had lunch there and were refused to sit on deck. Another family were also refused to sit on deck as we were told that they had bookings for 17h00. When we left they gladly allowed a black family to sit there without a booking. On asking management they did not seem to care. Reverse rasism ??

After numerous tries we were lucky to get a table at Alfies. Very nice little restaurant with excellent service and special food. Will visit again.

This is a great establishment, nice atmosphere and not in a mall!! The food is not limited to pizza and pasta, but has a few meat and seafood dishes as well. Waiter Tich was terrible!

Alfie's Pizzeria combines a homely atmosphere of an old school pizzeria with beautiful modern designs and vibe. The food is truly out of this world which is clearly a testament to the Owner Nick's real passion for food and desire to create a sensational experience for his guests. The restaurant being in Pretoria is no excuse to miss out we... More

Alfie's Pizzeria makes awesome pizzas. A great variety is offered, and one can select from either white based (no tomato), or tomato based pizzas. Prices are also very reasonable, and the service is good. PS. Their carpaccio is one of the best! Make sure to reserve a table. It gets very busy in the evenings. Enjoy!

Limited pizza variety, wine list expensive and very moderate amount of toppings even for this style of pizza. The service was good and the vibe was pleasant. Generally not memorable. Try and sit outside if there is space.

Thank Quinton R

Thank you for visiting our new pizzeria. The pizzeria is a new concept being added to the Alfie's brand, something different and less formal to Alfie's Hazelwood. The idea came to us to start it, as we realised the popularity of pizza in Pretoria and South Africa in general, but felt that we could add something authentic to what is already on offer. We wanted to take it back to basics and do it right. You will notice the lightness of our dough, and that you don't feel uncomfortably full after your meal - this is no accident. In Italy, pizza dough is proofed for at least 24 hours before being made into pizza, which means that there is time for the yeast to do their job and finish creating bubbles in the dough, the reason for the lightness you will taste. Leaving the dough to proof also means that the yeast will not continue to proof the dough in your stomach, which is the reason you often experience that overly full feeling. This, in addition to our use of only the highest quality, authentic ingredients, we believe has resulted in the best, most authentic pizza available in Africa. When coming up with the concept, as with all we do, we wanted to do it properly, so we consulted stringently with experts from all over Italy to get to this result - we hope you enjoy it.
