The restaurant itself sits right on the edge of the beach and you have a fantastic view from there. Too bad that the restaurant looks tired and in need of a revamp. The food itself is at most average - and I am being generous....More

The view was beautiful on all levels, and I would stay here in a heart beat, incredible sea views, service was too slow for lunch, deep fried halloumi was too oily and unpleasant in relation to taste. Accept my guests seafood platters looked amazing and...More

It is always a pleasure to travel on business when you know that everything from the accommodation to the hospitality to the meals are absolutely excellent. I will always return to African Peninsula when traveling to Durban!

Certainly one of the best places on the Bluff to enjoy a relaxed breakfast on a raised terrace overlooking the Indian Ocean. You can spot the dolphins swimming by if you are lucky. Breakfast Lunch and Dinner served all week.

I enjoyed my dinner and breakfast here. The haloumi, advocado salad was very tasty. The apple pie for pudding was average. The breakfast was good but I found the lighting where you help yourself rather dim. The sea views are spectacular and I will definitely...More

Please accept our humble apologies for the disappointing Cappuccino you were served on Sunday! While there is no excuse for a bad coffee, it was most unfortunate timing that our existing coffee maker was in the process of being replaced with our new Jura coffee...More

Come celebrate the beauty of the Indian Ocean and dine in a casual atmosphere, enjoying the South African cuisine, overlooking the spectacular ocean. Special times of the year are June & July to experience the “Greatest Shoal on Earth”. Come see the shoals of sardines as they get attacked from the air by the birds and in the water by the game fish, dolphins & sharks ... it is an amazing spectacle! If you don’t get to see the sardines you will probably see our Hump backed whales from June to November, doing spectacular breaches out at sea or giving birth to their baby calves at the end of October and in November. Then just about all year round see our dolphins surfing the waves right in front of the restaurant. The sea view alone is worth a trip but then you have the added attraction of the African Peninsula Cuisine to satisfy your taste buds!
