I recently visited Sevruga while on a business trip in Cape Town. I had dinner with colleagues and booked a outside table. I recommend the outside tables as they have good views over the basin and pleasure boats outside the front of the restaurant and also has shade to avoid the sun and seagulls flying overhead. I have visited Sevruga... More

THis large restaurant in the V and A Waterfront area was an excellent choice for our fiurst dinner in Cape Town. Despite being a busy Sunday evening, the staff were pleasant, efficient and accommodating. The food, especially my ostrich fillets, was delicious. Not cheap (by Cape Town standards) but a fun place to sit down.

Incredible dinner in the outside section, had to book a day in advance so be sure to do so. Sushi platter (we went for the black plate) was an incredible dish that two of us shared as a starter. Steaks (cooked perfectly) with vegetables were delightful for mains with a very reasonable wine list. Highly recommended.

We were looking forward to visiting this restaurant as it seemed to be busy and popular on the V&A Waterfront. However, the restaurant smelt of drains, the table wasn't particularly clean and the standard of the meal was the worst that we had had in Cape Town. I wouldnt recommend as there are son many other better local restaurants

Special was taken taken to a new level. We often go to Sevruga for lunch and love the sushi most of all.. so in celebrating my birthday this year I could think of nowhere I'd rather be on a beautiful Cape Town midday than at the Waterfront. Arriving at 1pm and not having reserved a table probably wasn't a great... More

I just loved the atmosphere in this restaurant. Situated in V&A waterfront near big wheel. Do yourself a favour and order from their cocktail menu. Do not order the ones you know be bold and just order one of the ones unknown. You will not be dissapointed. The food is cooked to perfection from starters right through to dessert. Portions... The food is delicious and plentiful as well as being delightfully presented. My husband's Burger was mouthwateringly appetizing and my mezze was generous and piquant. It was so magical sitting almost on the water and drinking in(besides our delicious wine) the views of Table Mountain, Devil's Peak and the Harbour entrance as well as the chartered boats berthed right next to... Like my previous review, this nice restaurant just did not quite live up to our last visit 4 years ago. Food was ok and service same but all in all, it seems the waterfront just doesn't deliver the same value and quality as last time.

The food was OK, the service too, the restaurant is coated in the waterfront, very crowded but the quality of what we ate was very good. Nice choice

Sevruga is a beautiful restaurant on the waterfront that provides a fine dining experience in an excellent location. The front-of-house staff was quite friendly and helped us to move to a table that was not directly in the line of the draft from one of the windows. I recommend their langostine and kingklip served on mash. Overall, we enjoyed our... More

Description
Sevruga is a culmination of a lifetime of work, and our complete dedication to perfection. Although perfection is almost always a step away, we always endeavour to exceed your wildest expectations, offerings lush interiors, exquisite dining and an intimate atmosphere seating up to 350. From the New York style entrance, polished marble and solid wooden floors, to the fabulous American walnut bar counter and designer chairs with opulent, imported fabric, it is clear that no expense has been spared. Our philosophy when creating Sevruga was the same as when we create our signature dishes. We use the best possible raw ingredients, combined with professional and creative suppliers and craftsmen to create a truly amazing experience. An elaborate menu offering a vast array of wines and meals ranging from humble dishes to taste sensations, with more complex tastes and flavours. The service is relaxed yet professional, while the view from both inside the restaurant and out on the terrace, will take your breath away! As part of giving Sevruga customers an all-round experience, a Functions Manager for tour and incentive groups is always on hand and, from the entrance to the kitchen, Sevruga has steadfast principles in place to guarantee an over-all experience of grandeur. With especially designed set menus, we can cater for any function. It's no wonder that every now and then we are delighted to have famous faces, both local and international, grace our establishment. A-list Hollywood stars such as Harrison Ford, Calista Flockhart and Tom Hardy, have been spotted dining at Sevruga, as well as our beautiful Benoni Blom Charlize Theron. You never know you might just bump into Brangalina! "The only reason to visit the V&A Waterfront". - The New York Times.
