Yes, you can eat ostrich here & it does not taste like chicken. Wonderful mix of more traditional dishes such as bobotie, potjiekos and braaivleis (BBQ). Excellent staff. Well designed interior. Fun atmosphere. Good wine list.

a chance to try traditional SA fare. I was a bit disappointed with my Zebra, but the pudding was amazing. More significantly, the service from the staff nearly made me want to return for that experience alone

I ate here twice on my recent trip to Cape Town. Sure, the V&A Waterfront is very touristy, but outside tables offer incredible views of Table Mountain. Dozens of wines to choose from. I enjoyed trying new fish--the restaurant advertises the entree "weskus snoek" as...More

Nice Restaurant for groups to experience a South African Style dinner, of which some dishes are: Snoek Paté, Karoo Lamb Breedie, Chicken Breyani, Malay vegetable Feast, Ostrich Filet, Malva Pudding, Melktert etc. Some live entertainment entertained as at some stage that night, which is great...More

I dined at Karibu on a recent trip to Cape Town, enjoying an almost three hour, leisurely Sunday afternoon lunch. Located at the V&A Waterfront, an outdoor table provides a nice view of the harbor. The restaurant specializes mostly in African food. I started with...More

I really enjoyed my visit here. Great choice on the menu at a very reasonable price. The local meat dish was tasty, filling and quality. Accompanied by a cold beer in a great location in the V&A waterfront. Friendly and helpful staff.

I see this restaurant has some bad reviews but ours is just the opposite. Justin provided us with great service and Wikus the manager helped me find a wine I would like, letting me taste several. We had stringfish and it was so delicious. There...More

I enjoyed our meal very much and as said before prices in SA are cheaper as compared to the US. I assume that most restaurants at the waterfront target tourist, but this did not have a touristy atmosphere.
