Walked into Sloppy Sam's at 9.30 pm on a weekday night, based on a random selection that happened to be conveniently located near our hotel. Lovely waiter, checked with the owner, no problem to keep the kitchen open late. So we ordered a bottle of red and a 3 course meal and had a really relaxed and pleasant time. No... More

We have been going to Sloppy Sam's and singing it's praises for years. I would go so far as to say that we have introduced more than 50 new patrons to Sloppy Sams. We normally go for their lamb. My wife and I enjoy different cuts and Hooman knows exactly how to do lamb. This is the best place for... More

Not many restuarants are keen to serve coffee and dessert only? We had supper and looking for a coffee shop walked along Somerset Rd. Sceptical of a rustic setting /looking decor place i 1st stepped in to make sure we will be served...and I am greeted with a hearty welcome and a handshake. I was sold!! Cappachinos, malva pudding and... More

Small restaurant serving Middle-Eastern food across the street from Protea Hotel Victoria Junction. The food is very good, the price is reasonable, and has a very relaxed ambiance.

We were surprised to see the restaurant looked more like a grubby Mexican cantina than a Standard that we have grown to get used to while we have been in Cape Town for 12 weeks. This aside, we had a rather good meal. Not feeling to hungry we only had mains. I ordered the Lamb Ribs and my partner ordered... More

Cannot even imagine why there are good reviews..do people not eat anywhere? Ordered baby calamarie with saffron rice. Arrived undercooked no salt , plain. No colour no floral flavour...where is saffron? Ordered neck roll...arrived on a scewer burnt with a few patatoe chips swimming in lemon sauce....veg boiled with pieces of beetroot dumped on top. ...no sorry not again!

We eat here regularly and just love this place. Fabulous food, cozy and well priced. Well worth a visit and get greeted by the owner himself who takes pride in every dish he prepares himself.

Ordered the lamb shank which was very disappointing. Half the meat one would expect and the dish should not be called "famous" lamb shank on the menu. Maybe the other dishes are better quality and value for money.
