We patronized this restaurant for the first time and had high expectations for quality of service and food. It is absolutely not worth the visit as we were expecting to savour real Cape Town style fish and chips. The fish was tough - knife couldn't cut through the batter - chips could be counted with on the hand and the... More

After a wonderful Tour at Simon's Town, we went to Quarterdeck for lunch and I have to say the staff was really great. The only reason I would not go back is their foot. It was very dry and tasteless. The salad was old. The fish was dry and saltless. Next time I will pass that place.

We ate here one evening after a tiring day, the service and food was sublime and the bill was only 515rand! Recommend their bubuti it's a traditional South African dish, it was delicious. If you're around the waterfront seek it out. It was an old prison and has lots of historical facts dotted around the restaurant.

We have stopped in the quaint town of Simon's Town every time we head around the Peninsula and inevitably we find ourselves drawn to the Quarterdeck for a brekkie which fills the gap and then some. After checking out the market on the square and perused the curios shops in main road, Quartedeck's full English breakfast is a must! The... More

Five of us went for dinner at the restaurant - it was recommended by our tour guide. We had 3 orders of what I believe was called the Chef's Choice and had leftovers (which unfortunately we could not take with us). All the dishes we ordered were amazing - but my favorite was the chicken curry dish. Food, wine and... More

If you don't like curry, look for another restaurant. We ordered off the menu and it was fine, but would have chosen another place had we known that it is actually an Indonesian restaurant.

This place was so good we ate there twice in one week! The Chef's Choice is a veritable feast and excellent value for money. From the excellent starter platter, through the extensive main dishes to the dessert it was a sumptuous affair. The charming staff made us feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The ambiance was quiet and... More

Nice meal with a good selection of Cape Malay dishes. Pumpkin soup was a good choice. The husband had a prawn curry which he enjoyed, I had the traditional babootie which was a tad disappointing as the custard topping was overcooked. Our server was very nice and unobtrusive.
