Went to Quay 4 today with 3 of my friends, we were seated outside in the smoking section as per our request. We waited for roughly 15min before our waiter showed up and then immediately ordered our drinks and food. The 3 boys ordered a tower of Castle beer and me being the only lady ordered a cocktail. It took... More

Great experience out of all restaurant at the seafront. Superbe food and service, with well organized team. It was certainly an enjoyable lunch, making the most of the sunshine.

I used to visit Quay Four so often that it felt like I had shares in the place, it was great, good food and always buzzing. I returned last week after a break of about five years and was I shocked at the poor quality of the food. I've now read various reviews on different website about Quay Four and... More

This is a large area overlooking the active harbour with boats coming & going. I sat outside under a huge umbrella but the inside area is spacious too. The fish & chips I had was excellent. The menu caters for all tastes. A relaxing place to meat friends or eat alone.

The restaurant was relatively full for peak lunch time and this was just after "high-season" had ended. This means that the locals do enjoy the place and we did too. The food was reasonably priced and came within a reasonable time. Service was slightly lacking though as the staff at the entrance preferred to stare at us than immediately help... More

The location is great. Combine looking out across the busy harbour from the upper terrace with warm sunshine, two excellent salads, pleasant and effective service and a glass or two of the old chilled defibrellator and all has to be right with the world. A recipe for a very enjoyable lunch. The evening meal, sadly was less memorable. Too chilly... More

Too overrated, long wait. My food, mussels cooked in wine and garlic, came in wrong with white carbonara-like sauce. I had to wait by the time the replacement came, everyone was done. Thank goodness for the great company and camaraderie, the night was saved.

“One of the oldest landmark restaurants in the charming V&A Waterfront, Quay Four boasts two distinct restaurants.”Downstairs, the world famous Tavern buzzes with locals and visitors virtually all year round. Seating 380 people, the Tavern's adjoining terrace fringes the Harbour, and is ideal to enjoy a meal and to sip cold beer as the sun sets. The elegantly adorned upstairs restaurant places emphasis on fresh seafood with the al la carte menu also including irresistible meat and poultry dishes.
