Good Asian food but a little pricey. Menu is good and service is average. Overall, average experience.

Fresh, delicious and creative menu. Love Prawn Toast, 4 x 4 and Sweet and Sour Shrimp! A favourite place that never disappoints. Also, the cocktails are amazing!

Nice restaurant, largely Vietnamese but with elements of Thai and Chinese thrown in....perfect for me but purists may not be so amenable. Food is very good, service is quick and friendly and prices very fair. It can get a bit noisy at times as some...More

When in Cape Town this is our first stop! The food is always delicious, fresh and authentic. The service is good with attentive happy staff. There is an extensive menu, catering for all palette and lots of vegetarian plates on offer. Great wines too!!!

If you want delicious Vietnamese food while visiting Cape Town, this is the place. Surprisingly, a rather large dining room with glasses all around to give customers a pleasant atmosphere. Food is Vietnamese authentic.

Friends decided to take us for dinner to Saigon tonight. Place was pretty packed out. Tables are so tightly packed that you literally feel like you are on the neighbors lap. Had a really bolshy waiter who couldn’t make any recommendations and wouldn’t stay at...More

Hi, a small parking area is available adjacent to the restaurant . I found parking in a side street close to the restaurant.

Description
Saigon in Cape Town has become one of the hot spots. With magnificent views of Table Mountain and their soft, muted lights, Saigon has acquired the perfect ambience. The Vietnamese decor is done elegantly without giving the restaurant a themed feeling. The menu is mainly Vietnamese with Japanese influences. Starters to try includes the Grilled Chicken Skewer and do-it-yourself Lettuce Wraps accompanied with prawns, fresh herbs, noodles and sweet chilli sauce. Some of the more popular Main Courses are the Chicken Cashew Nuts, their Spicy Beef Basil with chilli sauce and the Saigon Ginger Fish covered in a batter. All the Main Courses can be served with rice or noodles. Saigon's exotic Deep-Fried Ice Cream is a must if you have space after your lavish First and Main Courses. The ice cream is deep-fried with a batter casting and then served with their honey syrup. Holding its own between the many restaurants in Kloof Street, this is one of those restaurants were one should book in advance as it is always busy no matter what day of the week it is.
