Great spot for outdoor dining, craft beer and great food as well as service . Ask for Chris. My wife ordered an amazing GC Crisper which was outstanding. They offered 4 oz beer samplers nice idea. The pizza and burger were both great.
Great place, awesome food, kick ass owner. Its very rare to find a place where the owner actually comes out and asks about your experience everytime, and the employees tell you how well he takes care of them
We had heard such great things about Ground Control so we went there for breakfast one morning. The service was non-existent, the server couldn't care less about being timely or friendly, the coffee was average at best, as was the food. Not impressed so we...will not return.More
This was a first time visit for us and I read that they are recently under new management, so I will give a break, but I felt this place was suffering from an identity crisis. We thought we were going to a pub, but arrived...to find one tv in the whole place. Then we thought we might have come in the wrong door and there was probably more tv's in the front entrance.....only to find the ice cream counter there. And coffee. Needless to say, we decided to stay and try it and found our meals were good. I had the beach bum wood fired pizza and liked the flavor. Hubby and son had the protein deep dish and both liked it, but said it was a bit heavy on the pepperoncinis. Our service was slow even though the place wasn't busy. I think this place has potential but it needs to do some soul searching to decide how they want to brand themselves. Needs some atmoshpere real bad.More
Food and service were both excellent. Large drink menu complemented with great food and deserts. Would highly recommend the the salted chocolate gelato. Enjoyed a pizza and salad that were also good.
Came back with the kids a couple days later for some more gelato....Perfect spot.More
Met up with an old friend and her group for trivia night which is held every Monday. The service was prompt initially but there were constant hiccups; food slip didn't print, food took awhile after the restaurant got busier, waters were left unfilled and empty...plates constantly left on the table. We shared the pretzels first, which were so delicious, soft and definitely fresh. The pretzels were served nice and hot with sides of Dijon mustard and a cheese sauce, both paired so nicely. The bartender gave good beer recommendations and knew what he was talking about. After that we shared some garlic, cheese fries, they were generally good but the amount of garlic used was quite extreme. there was quite a generous amount of garlic left at the bottom of the bowl after we finished. Others in the group purchased salads and were pretty happy with them. The atmosphere was nice and comfortable, staff was generally friendly but seemed like they were overwhelmed for the amount of people in the restaurant. I based my 4 on the food and beer. The food was delicious and I wanted to try so much more seeing it go out to other tables. There was a huge selection of beers to choose from with in-depth descriptions available. Staff was friendly when they came by. The patio seems very nice for cooler weather.More
This place I had been to by myself and then with some old friends. I also chose it for a first date! Great atmosphere and good food and beverages for all times of the day for all occasions. Amazing breakfast spot and even late evening...catch a drink or bite to eat place.More
We were going to an arts festival at the Wigwam and decided to eat before we got there. I saw this restaurant on the map and it sounded like it would fit the bill. We walked in and there were 27 service people in there...from Luke AFB. I thought that this may take some time but the service didn't suffer at all. It was nice to see that these men and women were treated with a high degree of respect by the staff and that the other customers were treated the same way. I had the chicken sandwich and my wife had the pulled pork. These were both delicious and the sauce was fantastic.
Although we didn't have anything from the bar there appeared to be a nice selection of wines and beers on tap. We will stop again if we are in the area.More
