We were taken there by a wine tour for tasting and lunch . It was raining when we arrived and because the wine tour had not told us we had a booking in the restaurant it meant we had to do the tasting outside. Heindrick the cellar door manager sorted things out for us and made sure we had a... More

We enjoyed a lovely Sunday afternoon at Delheim. The cellar has a very cosy atmosphere. There was a jazz band playing that contributed to the special atmosphere. The glühwein and fondue lunches are served during the winter. The menu changes in Summer.

What a fantastic time we had tasting wines in the cellar. Lovely atmosphere, great presentation and service, many pairing options. Fabulous cheese, cured meats and preserves platter with biscuits. Can highly recommend it as an accompaniment to the wines. Wines to suit everyone's tastes.

Phoned Delheim Cellar this morning to ask if there were cellar tours on Sunday's and were told yes,at 2.30. Well, after a 50 km trip we were politely told at the cellar that they were short staffed and there wouldn't be any wine tasting today. This is absolutely shocking to say the least. I had two foreign guests with me and... More

We arrived for a tasting and after waiting for some time with no one paying the slightest attention to us we approached one of the 2 staff members on duty in the tasting room. We were informed they were fully booked, despite half the tables being empty. We were informed we could wait outside for a table to come available.... More

The people at Delheim have been doing it so well for so long. The wines are unbelievable, the staff courteous and knowledgeable. The whole vibe of the thing just works for me every time. (Had the opportunity to briefly meet the original owner which was a real treat as well)

Deleon is a winery I visited last in 2005, overs always enjoyed the wines when I have been able to fine them but the return to the winery was both memorable and outstanding. Good quality wines, lovely personal tastings and of course gorgeous settings !!

This cellar has been on our schedule for a visit for each visit to the area over the years. It is refreshing to see the effort being made to make the experience a pleasurable one.

A quaint estate, embraced by the Hoheisen and Sperling family for many years, it has tremendous charm and ambiance. The wine tasting cellar is warm and inviting, with knowlegable staff and outstanding wines. Situated on the slopes of the Simonsberg in Stellenbosch, it has breathtaking nature scenes, and has maintained authenticity throughout the years. Winemaker Reg Holder and viticulturist Ettienne...
