Great value, generous portions & part of the wine cellar tasting room, so an added bonus! Can sit outside on the stoep too, overlooking the vineyards.

We elected to have lunch at this bistro after a very well presented wine tasting. The menu has a wide variety of light lunch items priced around the R50 to R100 mark. We selected the Cape Fish Chowder as a starter and was pleasantly surprised - thick, flavourful and lush - the snoek, hake and prawn soup was divine. One... More

The breakfast was delicious . The view from the patio lovely. The staff give you the feel like you're part of a production line , we from a big town and use to it . On holiday we like a more personal touch.

We chose to eat at the bistro as we were staying close by and were feeling peckish. The Bistro looks nothing like the photo but perhaps its now moved away from the busy road mentioned in other reviews as we faced a very quiet one. It has a lovely mountain view and our jack russells were even permitted on the... More

We.had spent a lovely morning visiting wineries in the beautiful and relatively unsung Breede valley and called in for lunch. We did not want much so we shared a spinach and feta quiche salad - it was perfect, washed down with their very acceptable sauvignon blanc sat on the balcony watching the sugar birds. The service was charming and despite... More

Beautiful view from restaurant overlooking the vineyards. Spinach and feta quiche good but salad delicious, venison pie tasty but needed a bit more gravy and pastry was a bit sweet for my hubby's taste. Wine - Bergsig light perle, recommended and perfect for lunch. Attentive friendly service from Jeremy who also made a good cappuccino. Upmarket but relaxed and good... More

We visited Bergsig Estate after fig picking and I'm so glad that we did as it was an amazing experience. We started off with wine tasting, which was excellent, and then went upstairs to the Bistro for lunch. I was really impressed by the menu which was excellent value for money and the service. The view of the mountains was... More

The environment on the estate was perfect and the service good. The surprise was that the quiche had a butter biscuit base and not a pastry base. Got a little bit to much.

We stopped at Bergsig Estate in order to do some wine tasting while staying in the area, and decided to go to their Bistro for lunch. The restaurant is very relaxed and the food is simple, but it offers truly unbelievable value for money. We enjoyed a hearty meal and a bottle of wine, all of which would have cost... More
