We arrived to a rainy Buenos Aires and so decided that the only thing to do was to go out for a LONG lunch! This restaurant is supposed to be quite "touristy" and so we weren't surprised to find other travelers there for a boozy lunch on a Monday. But other than the hefty prices, that's where "touristy" ended. The... More

I never ever expected to not rate this higher than three stars (I was actually considering two stars). I do realize others enjoyed the steaks far more than I did. On the first visit, I thought the rib eye I ordered was both tough and tasteless and the mashed potatoes soupy. On the second visit based on thinking I ordered... More

Don Julio is a charming relaxrd restaurant with wood panelling, old tile floors and an big parrilla. Our steaks were cooked perfectly, tasted beefy and were melt-in-the-mouth. The three olive oils made by an Argentinian vintner Zuccardi, that come to the table were delicious and the cover is very reasonable. A great lunch topped off with great service.

Great service and the ability to eat outside. A great dining experience. The accommodated our group of 8, which was very nice of them to do.

Food is delicious and service is great. They had lots of wine to choose from so spend some time in the wine list.

This iconic corner restaurant in Palermo doesn't disappoint. We waited about an hour on a Saturday night for a table for 2 - we didn't have a reservation. Everyone told us that it would be impossible without a reservation. I'd say waiting an hour was worth it. We had our minds set on ribeye, but the waiter convinced us to... More

If you come for meat and wine! If not ... you'll find around (in Palermo) a lot other restaurants, so take your chance. Great restaurant, good service and really best steaks in Palermo area.

We really wanted to check it out after hearing /reading so many reviews. It's very nice. I would recommend eating inside where you can enjoy the full ambiance. The decor is special and the meat is delicious. The service was not as attentive as I would have expected- we waited 35 min from requesting the bill to leaving- AND there... More

Really worth the wait - we had around a 30min wait outside for a table at this really popular local steak house. Popular with tourists but it didn't feel like that inside. We had a table upstairs over looking the main dining room and kitchen area (worth it if you are given the option). Staff were all really welcoming with... More

Make a reservation, go early if you can but go! The place is simple, the food is simply wonderful. Steaks and fries, basically but oooh good. Wait staff are suoer friendly and efficient. We arrived a little before 8p.m. And had a reservation but by the time we finished there was a line out the door & down the street.... More

Staying in Palermo

Neighbourhood Profile
Best known as the largest neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, Palermo is divided into different quarters, each with its own unique identity. The high-end quarter is Palermo Chico, characterized by magnificent mansions, regal avenues, and exclusive apartment buildings, and home to the Museum of Latin American Art of Buenos Aires (MALBA), a favourite amongst locals. The largest park in the city, the Bosques de Palermo, is Palermo's most famous landmark and a popular destination for nature walks, picnics, rollerblading, and cycling. The scene becomes much trendier in Palermo Soho, a hip area known for its cool cafés and unique design stores, filled with shoppers on weekends; and Palermo Hollywood, renowned for the numerous restaurants, bars and nightclubs, which make it the preferred spot for nights out and special occasions.
