You can sit inside or outside - I chose outside bc the weather was amazing (it was Spring in Buenos Aires). The service was slow (for me) - maybe bc I was travelling by myself and only speak English but it seemed as if the groups of Spanish speaking patrons were receiving service before me - even though I was there... We'd had a full morning touring other sites and were glad to sit down and eat before touring the art museum. Most people were seated outdoors and there seemed to be a lot of business lunches happening at the museum. We chose the indoors for some shade and cooler temps. Our waiter was a snob. The place was expensive, both... More

Great food in a great location. Decent wines and wonderful service in a crowded but calm setting. One of the best places we ate in BA, and there were many wonderful ones we went to. The local baby squid simply fried are a delight, along with the perfect polenta. Not the cheapest but worth the money.

We arrived a half hour before closing time and were greeted by a snarly waiter reminding us of this fact. As we were in a rush, we asked for something that would be quick so he suggested ham and cheese sandwiches. They came - white bread with cheese spread and cheap grocery store ham. The two sandwiches came to @$25.00... More

Although we lacked reservations, we were seated immediately. The food and service were very good and the design and decor of the restaurant is quite elegant and fully integrates with the beauty of the art museum, MALBA, that it is a part of. The fish course was plentiful and delicious and I saw others enjoying a wide range of items.... More

The MALBA museum Café is really a sophisticated restaurant with a sophisticated design [metal and wood] and ambiance. The restaurant is located in the museum on the ground floor [to your left as you enter the museum] and extends to a patio to the side of the museum. On several occasions, my wife and I sat in the patio for... More

This restaurant is located adjacent to the MALBA museum, but also accessible from the street. It was surprisingly full, as the museum was quiet, but later we understood that this place is also frequented by the locals for a lunch, or drinks and snacks. And well deserved. We were surprised by the quality of the choice of dished and the... More

If I lived here I would have lunch here all the time. Very nice spot outdoors over looking a park. The staff was very friendly, the atmosphere perfectly relaxed. I had the baby octopus and it was delicious. The bread is served with a very interesting whipped cream cheese and plenty to keep you happy while waiting for your lunch... More

I had real Croissants here! Nicely layered (feuilletage). Whereas the vast majority of "Medialunas" I have eaten during my trip in Argentina lacked that layering. I also had an excellent almond tarte. Waiter said it was typical of Argentina. The crust was crumbly & fragrant. The filling loaded with almonds. In a way, it was very similar to Pecan pie.

My husband and I had lunch before visiting the museum. Our waiter was very nice and apologized for the length of time it took for our order to arrive. I'm not sure why it took so long but it appeared that the kitchen was exceedingly slow. The prices were high: $51. (USD) for 1 shrimp salad, 1 glass of wine,... More
