We went there on a Sunday night. We ordered steak and the steak skewers. The latter was a bit dry on the upper half, and the vegetables were okay, but not outstanding. The steak was definitely better, although still quite fatty. In general, a good place for a nice but not outstanding evening

I had a business dinner the other night at this restaurant, which has been a fixture in this part of town for many years. We had a small dinner - wine, salad, and a tortilla española, and watched as others ordered larger meals of meat, chicken, etc. Our tortilla which had potatoes, onions and thinly sliced salami within was very... We asked locals for a non-touristy restaurant with good food and this is where they sent us. We had a very nice lunch. The decor is lots of wood and old photos. Waiters that seemed to have worked there for a long time and the other diners were locals that frequented often.

We visited a bit by chance as this restaurant is looking good from outside and were not dissapointed. This is a local place for locals, unpretentious, with a classical menu (mostly meat) but with a few complement that finally make for a quite diverse offer. It remains rather simple but the products are good, the cooking precise and the service... More

A local restaurant with lots of old world charm where I was the sole tourist on each of the three times we ate there. Steak is the meal of choice along with other parts of the cow prepared in various ways. Loved the older Argentine vibe as much as the food.

The food is good, the house wine served on the "executive menu" (set of plates you can choose from for a fixed price) is regular, could be better. Let's not be unfair, it looks like they have better wines, not just that one... This would be a very good every day local restaurant. If that's what you want you should... More

Friendly and average prices for pasta or the menu (5 or 6 options daily), steaks more expensive. The food is not exactly home made, the fish with potatoes and mushrooms was bland, tasteless. Ate no meat, so no comments about steaks.

Huge sirloin steaks. One between 2 is enough with salad and chips. The seating in the wooden booths could do with some cushions, particularly if you've been horseriding recently!

45 min wait for a steak. Good food after all but not enough. 20 dollars for two cups of wine. 65 dollars for a steak with tomato salad including the wine. Overall just ok but do not spend money on a cab to go there. Far from the homemade kitchen they market...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
