Small pizza joint that looks like nothing special on a street corner. Initially sat outside but quickly reverted to inside because of the relentless mosquitoes. Nice menu with unusual pizzas. Went for a gourmet one and a Cala one. All very tasty, nice tasty crust too. Efficient service, average prices. Nice find!

We had read about the Italian influence in Buenos Aires, but Cala really does make good ones. Our particular favourite was the Cal pizza which... More

Italian fast restaurant to have a safe and cheap dinner on Recoleta. Pizzas and sandwiches worth it and the wine glass is price fair

We were staying at the nearby Arc Recoleta Hotel, and decided to eat here for lunch. The waitress spoke a decent amount of English so we had no issues getting our food ordered. We weren't that hungry so were able to split two empanadas and a small pizza. I liked the pizza crust and it had plenty of cheese, but... More

Enjoyed a good pizza in this laid back place. The pizza grande is definitely enough for 2 for lunch. Mint lemonade was excellent.

Our first night in BA, and we just wanted something easy. What lovely staff working here Our Spanish is poor, they wanted to practise their English! We had some wine and a pizza. The wine was recommended, a chardonnay, it was good. The pizza was pretty basic. Filled a spot but nothing that great. I noticed they did platters, salad... More

Bad service. Pasta was not avaible on a friday, even it was suggested on "today special" When we asked for the bill, they tried to charge us for one dish more worth 100 pesos

Staying in Recoleta

Neighbourhood Profile
Recoleta
Characterised by the French-style mansions which are the legacy of its aristocratic past, Recoleta is the true “Paris of the South.” Walking around this neighbourhood is an experience like no other in Buenos Aires: its streets are lined with elegant apartment buildings, exclusive boutiques, and former mansions turned into high-end hotels and embassies, which exude an alluring air of sophistication and class. You'll also find a rich cultural scene centred on the National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Library, and the Recoleta Cultural Center; as well as some great shopping spots, like the Buenos Aires Design Mall with an artists' fair set up in Plaza Francia every weekend.
