When a place is brimming with locals, you know it's going to be good. And it was, and the meat I ate was of top quality. Being a big restaurant, service could take a little while. I recommend it first and foremost for the splendid beef.

If you are reading this is because you are in Argentina, or planning to be there soon. That demonstrate your adventurous side, so go one extra step and take a taxi to El Español. Great beef, and VERY reasonable prices. Three stories packed with locals, so logic dictates that they know when something is really good, and for the pocket... More

I love this place! The food portions are big, fresh, great quality of food! The ambience is more like a typical "bodegon", but is clean and it has 3 floors. Just be aware that usually you will have to wait to be seated and I would avoid any holidays because the waiting time will be more than an hour. Check... More

Popular with the locals, open late, good value for good quality food, both sit-down & takeaway. Busy at lunchtimes.

Any day of the week, from breakfast to dinner. This restaurant serve all kinds of food and they always have promotions for lunch. Food is tasty and even if the place is full, you dont wait too long to be seated and for your plate to arrive. And the portions are well served. Its like eating with the locals.

It was my last night in Buenos Aires and I wanted to eat at a good Argentinean grill before heading back home. We had been busy all day, and it was almost midnight when we went out for dinner. El Español was one of the few places near that was open until late. From the outside it seems like a... More

This is a very popular option for locals, as the food is fresh, well-prepared and very affordable with generous serves. So be prepared to wait in line for a table, especially at peak times. As well as the usual Buenos Aires menu options of meat, pasta and pizza, which all looked good. We personally recommend the barbecued boned chicken and... More

I was in BA for a week on business and was very tired of beef by the end of the week. El Española was recommended as a great seafood value. Turns out El Española is a large neighborhood restaurant that serves grilled meats, pizza, and seafood. It is located less than 4 km from where we were staying in Puerto... More
