Three of us were on a business trip and wanted to dine early (7pm) rather than wait until 8pm when most restaurants open since we had to be up early the next day. Decided to try Central Market which is near the Hilton where we were staying. I had been there before but couldn't remember if I liked it or... More

Loved this little place to get snacks and light meals. Good, young crew working. Helpful to non Spanish speakers like me.

Quality food and service. Price was right for the quantity served. The location is ideal for those staying in the Puerto Madero area. I would not hesitate to visit again. Try it yourself. You will not be disappointed.

I have multiple visits to BA under my belt including long term stays. Central market is located across from the Hilton hotel. It has giftware, coffee, baked items and ready made food items. My interest in this location is for takeout options for lunch primarily. I have been disappointed every time with both food and service. The salads have been... More

Ate with my partner for our anniversary lunch on December 12th. We ordered 2 mains and 2 cokes for a grand cost of 625AR. The views were decent but the service was slow. I ordered the pork shoulder which was good but my partner ordered the ravioli which was not. The ravoli itself was ok but the sauce had the... More

I bought take-away food from here twice, because the food was clean, healthy, and tasty. It's not cheap, but relative to the Puerto Madera area, the prices are what's to be expected.

Needed a welcome change from the great Argentinian beef so ended up at Cental Market. The Caesar salad was delicious with a generous portion of succulent chicken and a dressing that was very tasty. You share tables which I like and don't forget to have dessert! The Oreo cheesecake and their American brownie gelato are to die for!

The market end of this establishment displayed fresh food. The restaurant end provided good casual dining experience. We wanted a casual lunch and this Restaurant was perfect ! we had a great view out to the tall sailing ships and water. ! Fresh bread was provided. The orange and carrot juice was nice . We had the Argentinian sandwich, salmon... More

The waiters were friendly and spoke english and patiently waited as I used google translate to give dietary restrictions. The food itself was very good and small portions were actually appreciated after over eating at steak houses for the past few days. The prices are definitely on the higher side so be prepared to spend 400 pesos + per person... More

Very nice to st outside during a sunny day or a nice evening. Lots of options in the menu. All good and tasty. Service is OK, not that fast but OK. Great Italian options in the menu.

Staying in Puerto Madero

Neighbourhood Profile
Puerto Madero
From its refurbished red brick buildings and port cranes to its modern skyscrapers and luxurious apartment buildings, Puerto Madero is the perfect combination of old and new. The river provides a quiet, relaxing atmosphere that contrasts with the hustle and bustle of heavy traffic just blocks away. Across the river, flanked by skyscrapers, are beautiful parks and quiet streets that make this neighbourhood a unique destination in a city as busy as Buenos Aires. The restaurants, bars, and nightclubs on the docks make it a prime spot for nights out and have come to symbolise this area. Puerto Madero is even more striking after dark, when the lights from the docks and skyscrapers glow against the night sky.
