I wanted good fresh fish, a cold beer and a relaxed place to chill back. At "EL CHARO" I got all three. I ordered a very tasty white fish and fries with a salad side --- under $20 for a great lunch. Recommended

We came here after a young man persuaded us to come to try it he was very kind and helped lift a child from our party up the stairs next to the restraunt. I thought the food was excellent and the service was brilliant although they didn't speak very good English . We would like to thank the young man... More

I had dinner here one night and was pleasantly surprised at the food's quality!! I have been spoiled by the Aqva, as it sits across the street a little but this place has great food and drinks!!!!!! I really liked it!!!!

Last month we visited Iguazu Fall and we had the first dinner here! What a fault! Why we went there was because it was recommended by our guest house staff (I think she is too young)! The restaurant looked so old fashioned and the waiters didn't know English. In such popular area for visitors, none of the waiters can speak... More

There are better places in town. I had Pacú with a mustard gravy. Tasted greasy, friends later on told me to order it a la parrilla which takes the grease out. Next time may be....

Horrible food in every way. We had 2 fish dishes and one parrillada and uNfortunately none of us were satisfied. Burnt, salty and greasy food. Plus the restaurant is very dirty, run down and stains on all the chairs. We were too hungry and undeniable. Just walk a block down and you will find better places. Worst food we've had... More

The best from all the food we've got in this place, was the fresh bread we got as a starter. We've had a bife what was asked rare, but got it dry. Than the pizza.. The italians would be ashamed to call it a pizza, also really dry, too big pizzabottem and tasteless. Service was slow and not even nice.... More

El Charo is one of the places where local peaople eat. One night we had a dinner at El Charo - we tried some delicious and savoury cuts of beef a la parilla - steaks, rinones, chinchulines, morcilla and chorizo and we liked the meal so much that the other day we came back for lunch (delicious home-made pasta). We... More

We met the place by chance. The restaurant (thankfully) doesn't look like the typical " Buenos Aires' Palermo restaurant" as many of the area are. It's more like a place for "local people". We went there twice, and had "Pacu" and "Surubi" both "al ajillo"... REALLY EXCELLENT! Waiters are really kind. You'd definitely give it a try.

We went in to the restuarant recommended by our tour guide. The waitress was wonderfull, the atmosphere was good like where the locals would eat. Then the parilla came out, started well with good morcilla (black pudding) chorizos & chinchulini (intestine). When we got to the beef ribs they were yesterday's meat reheated. I think they thought "gringos won't know.... More
