We ordered take-out for our family of six, and the food was ready in 20 minutes. The pineapple rice was tasty. The spicy fried rice was good.

On our first night in Phoenix, we drove to downtown. My husband and I saw Thai Basil and liked what we saw. It was well lit and clean. We chose the combination appetizer, he ordered the signature dish with calamari and I ordered the spicy thai noodles. We each decided on level 3 spiciness. Each dish was fresh and well... More
Awesome curry dishes and pad Thai, always fresh and savory. Waiting in line to get your food is a little uncomfortable, as the restaurant is small & understaffed so you'll make friends with the seated diners as everyone waits for their food from the same server. Just know it's worth the wait.
We went here on the Taste It Tour, got to try the Thai tea, soup, pad Thai, and garlic egg plant. I personally wasn't a fan of the soup or the egg plant, there was a ton of flavor and spice and it wasn't for me. People on the tour loved it though. The pad Thai was really great and... More
I go to Thai basil quiet frequently and tried all of their Thai food and I love them all. They have chicken sauté which is chicken breast on the stick with peanut sauce. The best treat is their iced coffee it's my favorite coffee since it's being made by coconut milk.
I stopped in to Thai Basil based on the reviews I found online and was overall pleased with my experience. I had the Chicken Phad Thai (medium spice) lunch special and it was a good deal but overall it lacked flavor and spice. It wasn't "spicy" but that was really the only flavor I could pick out of the dish.... More
The meals were both good ( green curry - very spicy! and cashew chicken). Service was very friendly and quick. This was right downtown so apparently they have more than one location. There did not seem to be very many restaurants downtown so this was a welcome find.
I love Thai food but this place though not horrible was not impressive either. The seafood in the Pad Thai was over cooked so as to be like shrimp chewing gum. The server/owner seem distracted most of the time when taking the order even though the restaurant was not busy. I would not return.
After dining in another Thai restaurant in Toronto, I thougt I would give my local restaurant props! The Red, Green and Yellow Curry Chicken are all awesome, and when I ask for "thai spicy", they hit the nail on the head! The food is on the higher end of the cost spectrum, but you get what you pay for, and... More
