I was here on a recent Friday for lunch with a family member. It was recommended by a gentleman I met recently. Just wait until I see him again! Codfather is in a strip mall alongside busy Bell Road. It was a pleasant day so we decided to sit outside. It felt too warm inside the restaurant. I wasn't inside... More

I had read good reviews on this place. However I find the Codfather way overrated at least as far as food. I made 2 trips and both times the cod was greasey. The cole slaw was at best average. On the plus side the restaurant was clean and service speedy. Also there is a nice tuck shop in the restaurant... More

Best deep fried cod &chips in the valley. Worth the drive from Ahwatukee! Cole slaw was also great. Decor was so very "British"!

GREAT FISH AND CHIPS Good size portion of both the fish and chips - crisp on the outside and flaky on inside. The chips/fries were also nice and crisp. Prices are good easy in and out quick bite

I called in an order for carry out for the first time at the The Codfather last April. Drove by many times & was curious about their quality of food. I am pretty happy I did. Coming from Milwaukee, WI. I missed fresh fish, so I was delighted that the platters I ordered were worth it. Hard to find "good... More

We stopped for lunch on a weekday and it was pretty empty. We grabbed a table and asked the server for some recommendations. As expected, she suggested the fish and chips and a couple English pies. We opted for the fish and chips. I had the cod and my husband had the flounder. I asked for their mashed potatoes and... More

We went here for a change of the standard American food. Staff were nice but waited a long time for the food. I ordered the large haddock and it wasn't large at all. My friends had a large Cod that was nearly 2x the size. There is a small "tuck" shop selling some UK foods which was nice too.

I've been going to this restaurant for some time now and up until now everything was fine. I ordered the large cod plate for $10.95. I asked how much for 2 more fish and was told $6.50 each. Rather than pay $13.00 for 2 pieces of fish, I ordered another large cod plate. When they brought me the dinner it... More

Fish was greasy. Chips were awesome. Shepard pie excellent. Small portions. A bit pricey. Service was so-so. No ambiance.
