We had company over prior to Thanksgiving who loved Thai food and we thought carryout from Sala Thai would be a nice treat. I phoned in the order and was told it would be 30 minutes. I timed my trip to arrive at the 30 minute mark and paid for the food, but it had not been prepared yet. It... More

So, I'm never quite sure about eating at a new place when it's in a strip mall, and next to the local Goodwill. But, I have to say, the food here was outstanding! I ordered the yellow curry and it was authentic, fresh and delicious! If you're really hungry, try the paper wrapped spring rolls. Also, ordered a glass of... More

We are looking for a great Thai restaurant to replace our favorite in Washington state and were hoping this was it. Not so. The Phad Thai had a funny flavor (maybe Tamarind?) that was off-putting. The Phad Se Ew was too fishy tasting and I was quite disappointed with my Thai iced tea. Apparently, it is ready made, so it... More

Each time we have eaten at the 10880 N. 32nd St. #29 • Phoenix, AZ location the food has been wonderful! Pleasant place to eat, reasonable service and decor. This is a small strip mall restaurant, with mostly framed fabrics for artwork on the walls. I always like sitting by the fish tank (the fish are all plastic and colorful,... More

The fragrant Thai food in this casual neighborhood eatery is better than ANY of the pricier alternatives. It is BYOB so that saves a big chunk off the bill! The Tom Kra Gai soup is fabulous and loaded with crunchy shrimp (or chicken). The BBQ shrimp is great the BBQ ribs even better. The curries are excellent and if you... More

My wife and I have been going to Sala Thai for a long time. The food is great and it is BYOB, so the bill is always reasonable. I was very happy for them when they expanded into the space next door and double their size a couple of years ago. Their service suffered and became inconsistent, but we were... More

We had the drunken noodles on spice level 4 out of 5 (couldn't stop eating it, though we should have done 3 on the spice ). Crab wontons (so amazing). The coconut milk soup level 3 spice (oh my God so good) and my husband tried the BBQ steak (he ate it all) We were really impressed. Everything clearly made... More

We love good Thai food and have struggled to find decent, authentic restaurants to give us our 'fix' here in AZ. This is it, finally after looking for 15 years I have found it. Appearance and first impressions: This reasonably small, unpretentious restaurant within a few hundred yards north west from the Shea/51 exit is based in a small strip... More

Although not experts on Thai food, the food was pretty good in our opinion. I had the Pad Thai which was on the mild side (they rate their spiciness on a 1-5 scale). My wife had the chicken and brown rice and she liked it too. Our waitress seemed tired as she was not in the mood to answer our... More

Why only a 3 if the Rangoon was so good? The Pad Thai we ordered with a hot sauce number 2 (scale of 1-5). It was the most spicy sauce I have ever had. Someone must have put the 5 on it which made it almost impossible to eat. The sweet and sour chicken was ok but by far not... More
