I haven't been here since July. I was excited about introducing my family to this restaurant. What a disappointment. The floors were dirty. We ate outside but the patio grounds were dirty and smelled of rotten food. One family member had the fajita del rey...with chicken tinga and another had chicken tinga quesadilla. Both found the food boring. I had the cabo chopped salad with chicken achiote. Mine was more flavorful but I spent the evening and next day with diarrhea. Not enough staff! There was one person trying to fill drink orders and we had to wait 10 mins for her to take our orders. No one else was there! She apologized and was trying as best she could. I should have guessed something was different as at lunchtime on a Sunday the place was empty.More

My husband and I visited Tocaya a couple of times during our stay in Scottsdale. We loved the food each time. I liked the variety in their offerings, such as the cauliflower rice in place of white rice and their choices of cheese. I appreciate...the vegan and gluten free options too. The staff at the register were really patient in helping us navigate all the choices. My husband and I agreed — we wish there was a location where we live!More

Yummy healthy Mexican food! You build your own salad/bowl burrito. I was mostly impressed with their vegan queso- tasted JUST like cheese!

I LOVE this place! Lots of choices, delicious food with simple but unique flavors at a great price point. Many steps up from fast food but close to the same price point. Generous portions. Light and bright decor. I can't wait to go back.

Went for dinner and drinks. Was not disappointed. My quesadilla with vegan chipotle chicken was amazing although a bit heavy on the oil due to prep and vegan cheese. My spouse got a fajita bowl and peppers weren't fully cooked, tofu was a bit rubbery,...but she appreciated the execution and the fact it was GF and vegan. Street tacos with real chicken got destroyed by the non-vegan in our group and they looked small but tasty. Salsa was very good and chips were great. I had difficulty getting the high tech ordering system to work on my phone but eventually it registered and I was able to view the numerous options to add/change with entrees. Great outdoor atmosphere and excellent service. Tips are shared between staff so please remember to find the tip jar at the counter even if you use the e-system. I'd give the place 5 stars if it was 15% less expensive and my spouse's meal had been solid.More

Fantastic lunch place! Loved the outdoor eating area. Very helpful staff when ordering. It is the perfect combination of healthy Mexican food, with something for everyone - vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers. Wish they had a place like this in Chicago. Would definitely come again...if we were back in town. Nestled in a fun shopping complex if you want to walk around before or after lunch. Place was very clean and easy to socially distance.More

My wife and I stopped in yesterday for takeout on our way to the airport. This was our first visit. Loved the look snd feel if the restaurant - light, clean, modern/hip, airy. Friendly, helpful staff. Broad menu. I ordered the fajita del rey bowl...with carne asada and jalapeño Jack cheese. Very generous portion, great mix of flavors, nice surprising bite to it - but not overly so. Felt like clean eating - nice when clean meets quick. My bowl was $16.20, so this is no Chipotle. Pleasantly surprised with my bowl. Would return and recommend to others.More

Liars liars liars. They close earlier than anyone in town, won’t answer their phones, and lie to you about how late you can place an order. They are extremely overpriced for what you get. Many better options in this part of town. I have spent...my last dime there. I hate being lied to.More

I was recently in town for a conference, and had dinner here. It was delicious! I loved the selection of delicious eats, and all of the healthy options! I had a burrito with the chicken which was wonderful. My mother enjoyed her taco salad, and...my friend had a protein bowl - and they remarked that the beef chorizo was great! The Aqua Frescas were delicious. TIP: try combining the cucumber mint with the strawberry basil (the drinks are fountain, so try it out)! We also tried the fruit (and cucumber) for dessert which was very tastefully spiced with lime and tajin. This place is definitely on my list for future returns to Scottsdale! Also, this restaurant validates your parking if you park in the valet for Fashion Square.More

Had two spicy but very tasty salads--the Tocaya and the Tostada. Both were large, had wonderfully fresh, crisp ingredients and just the right spicy seasonings to enhance the flavors. We added protein to both--the beef chorizo on one and the carne asada with cilantro jalapeno...marinade on the other. Loved both. This is a new concept and you order and they deliver to the table---service was fast and personable. Only issue is if you are unfamiliar with how and what to order from the large menu board on the wall, it can be confusing and you are a bit self conscious and feel hurried when there is a line up behind you!!More
