I have traveled all over Costa Rica and am very familiar with the "comida tipica". This restaurant truly has some of the best food I've had in Costa Rica and comes from a local family in a truly authentic atmosphere. The portions are large and the ingredients fresh. If you have a large group, you might overwhelm the kitchen and... More

I had been interested in the dish the locals call "marriage" since I arrived, and finally got to eat it here. The carne asada casada did not disappoint with a generous portion. The beans were seasoned well, and the potatoes... More

We didn't order a whole lot, but the food was good and the service was acceptable. The smoothie was great!

My wife and I live a few miles up the road and woke up to a power outage and subsequently no way to grind coffee. So off we went to Soda y Nanyoa one of our favorite breakfast joints. It is a favorite of ours for breakfast because my wife's sunny side up eggs are cooked exactly to her liking,... More

Used to be much better when the previous staff worked there and the fruit stand was in front. Service was so-so. Food definitely average but cheap.

The review below mine is pretty spot on. The tables and place are just dirty. We sat next to an old Hoarders-style looking kitchen that looked like it hadn't been operated or clean in years and was just a place to store random things that was closed off by a gate looking thing. I believe there is a hostel upstairs... More
