The food was delicious, wait staff was friendly. Will definitely come back if we are in the area again.

Great little place! Service is good, plenty of parking, good menu. I'm a big fan of the catfish and the Ruben. Shrimp is good too.
Foods okay. Always felt it's expensive but now it's way overpriced. If it weren't for his waitstaff he would be shut down. They use too much sugar in side dishes, and they don't give you what you pay for. I had to ask for the...slaw that came with my meal. There another time they charged me 30.00 too much. After I made them recalculate my check I got my money back. How many people has lost money at this place because of this? Just saying.More
Woods place is widely known far past the borders of Camden and for good reason! If the daily lunch special doesn’t bring you in with your mouth watering their regular menu items sure will! The Woods family have blessed Camden with this restaurant for many...years and we are all so thankful. When you walk in you will be greeted with smiling faces from the entire staff, as you sit down you will have a basket of fresh rolls and hush puppies to snack on while deciding what you will order as everything that comes from the kitchen looks, smells, and tastes amazing! You will walk out of the door full and happy guaranteed. People have driven from all over at the chance to have this amazing experience but if you don’t feel like the long drive it’s no worry. They can cater any event you have with multiple options to fit any style. The locals will tell any one visiting that you can’t leave until you have eaten at woods place and for good reason!More
Whenever we're anywhere near Camden, AR we will stop at Woods Place. We always get the fried jumbo shrimp. I'm sure their other menu items would be just as good, they need to offer a combo plate!
We had the catfish and fried shrimp. The shrimp were huge! The food was great! Service was excellent. They did a great job working with Covid-19 restrictions. So happy we chose to eat here! Love the tribute to Grapette soda.
Lunch here June 5,2020.. definitely a home style cafe.. food was good.. had a Ruben sandwich, grilled chicken salad, and fried catfish.. food was tasty and large portions. Very casual! Rolls and hush puppies live up to the reviews
This is family friendly establishment. Rolls and hush puppies and tarter sauce are brought to the table when you sit down! It’s a nice little add to the meal. We ordered the small fish and it was very good. The sides we chose were friend...green bean and onion rings which were also delicious! I would come here more often if I lived here but I am glad I stopped by on my way through!!More
I used to eat here a lot, but the last three times I’ve eaten here, I’ve gotten sick. And it’s been something different ever time. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon.
I have been a loyal customer since 1992. The last two times I have got to Wood's the quality has been not great. This time which was Saturday, my order wasn't complete and everyone got the run's the next day. Think it is time to...find a new place to eat. The cashier was rude when I called to let him know part of my order was missing as well.More
My wife and I drove down from Little Rock for dinner on a Saturday night. The Grapette story is part of why we decided to go to Wood's Place - Grapette was originally bottled in Camden, but disappeared in US markets until Sam Walton/Walmart helped...revive it. Wood's Place has a lot of Grapette historical memorabilia on the walls and serves Grapette. The catfish is very good and the hush puppies and dinner rolls that are served with the meals are great. Of course we had the Grapette to drink. Also, try the fried pies for desert. The staff was friendly and they made this a very enjoyable experience. You will read some reviews here that say the food is pricey, and I would agree with the exception that the catfish fillets are large in comparison with other catfish restaurants where we have eaten. I ordered the 4 piece dinner and when the plate arrived I realized that the 2 piece dinner would have been plenty. We recommend highly.More
Was in town for work and looked this place up on TA. Was the top choice in town. It was good, but a little in the high side price wise. The food was hot and fresh with quick friendly service. The catfish was good, not...oily, light and crisp. We were in, ate and out the door in 30 minutes. I enjoyed it, but my only complaint was the price+tip is as a bit rich for a single person.More
We are working in the area, staying in Camden,so the wife and i thought we would give it a try.Nice place, but first we noticed the high prices on the menu! Now for a good meal,i do not mind paying! She ordered fried oysters,i went with a...16.99 hamburger steak! 30 min later, our food comes out.Her oysters were wrapped up in thick batter, yuck! She peeled off a pile of greasy batter and tried to eat the oysters! My hamburger steak was burnt crispy on the bottom, baked potatoe was cold, and had to wait on my okra! Total for this lousy meal $41.00 and change! Upon check out i was asked if everything was ok? Told the guy i have definitely had much better,he said sorry and took my money! We will never go back, needs better management!More
Best catfish fillets in town! You also get hush puppies and French fries with your order. Yum, yum! They do offer non fish items such as ribs, pulled pork sandwich, chicken fried steak, but you can’t beat the fried catfish (they do offer it grilled,...but why?!)More
Noted in The Arkansas Times for best local catfish restaurant along with many other excellent choices (top notch steaks). This is a South Arkansas favorite and people travel from miles around to enjoy the food and local company. Excellent choice.
