A pleasant experience

We (me and my boyfriend) were undecided about where to have launch in Kalambaka. While we were Reading the menu outside, the owner welcomed us very kindly so we took a table and eat moussaka and Lamb and greek sausages. Everything was well cooked and we liked everything so much. Plus, the toilet was in perfect condition and the music (jazz fusion) was appropriate and with a pleasant volume.

Delicious Food in friendly atmosphere

After doing the Morning Tour through the Meteora Monasteries, we decided to get some lunch in Kalambaka. Luckily, we came by Ambrosia, whose friendly but not pushy service convinced us to try the place. We were rewarded with huge portioned delicious Burgers and Coleslaw and a free small dessert. Would definitely visit the place again!

A relaxing dinner

I had dinner in this place last week and it was an unforgettable experience. The waiters are polite people, one of them advised me which beer to drink and the food that had been prepared was superb. To conclude, they had offered an ice cream. It is a welcoming place.

Very bad !!

Not going back ! We went there with my family . The prices are low and for a reason. Clearly because the quality is low too. Not tasty salad with unwashed greens and poor main dishes like beef tagliata and lamb chops all with semi baked or fried fries and very sour tsatsiki. I don't remember the appetisers but it was a bad experience and we are not going back again for sure! Note that with almost empty tavern the service was very slow and we felt like they didn't take care us at all.

There was something special about the atmosphere they created. The music was gentle, the waiters genuinely helpful, and the plates were beautiful. The food was delicious and affordable! Back in New Zealand you don’t get salads like you do here - definitely worth ordering!

Out of this world delicious

This restaurant was recommended by our guide and it did not disappoint. The food and service were amazing. We took the recommendations for the mushroom stir-fry, grandmas potatoes, moussaka croquettes, and Greek salad. They did not disappoint. Price was very reasonable.

Fantastic service and delicious food

Absolutely fantastic service from start to finish, our waiter was extremely friendly and attentive. Food was delicious, home-made local dishes and the serving sizes were generous. We tried the local white and red wines and they were great. Complimentary ice-cream sticks for dessert. Can recommend!!

Incredible Dinner!

This place only opened in May and deserves more recognition! Food was all incredible, we started with an amazing greek salad followed by a tasty Moussaka and pork souvlaki. Furthermore, the service was so friendly and helpful, all at great value. Definitely recommend coming if you’re visiting Meteora. PS this is a completely genuine review and didn’t want you to miss out (PPS aka I ain’t getting no free dessert for this)

Low quality - high prices

We went there on June for dinner. it wasn't busy at all. 1 more table was sitting. the service was very slow. One and half hour to get the main courses. Beef was very tough and not tasty, pork was burnt. Too expensive for that

Not to be missed in Meteora.

This is the best meal and service. My husband and I ordered a lot of food since so many things sounded good: feta, tomato and red pepper dip, fresh bread, Greek meatballs, pork souvlaki, and wine. The cheese dip is the kind of food that stays with you in your mind when you think of the most decadent meals you’ve had. Don’t miss this gem in Meteora.

Delicious food in a beautiful restaurant

Our group of eight sat outside under the awning for a delicious lunch. We each ordered something different as everything sounded so appealing. There were a few tasty traditional items on the menu. The roasted chicken dish and the mushroom dish were especially flavorful!

Great staff and house wine. Food is average at best.

The staff was very nice. The food failed us bad. We ordered a T bone which was well prepared but tasteless and lamb which was better tasting but burnt. The fries didn’t have salt on them, or maybe not enough. The semisweet rose house wine was amazing, we drank a 1 L bottle (2 people) and we didn’t get any sort of hangover the next day.

Delicious Food and Reasonable Prices

Our group of 10 was seated right away. Great atmosphere and attentive wait staff. We had the pork souvlaki like open gyros and a carafe of red wine. The food was delicious and everything was reasonably priced. The waiter also gave us separate checks upon our request since we were such a large group. I would highly recommend.

Delicious food with excellent service

Ambrosia as a fabulous restaurant served with good food. We ordered mushroom stir-fry and lamb chops. Both dishes are delicious. The mushrooms are fried with teriyaki source perfectly mixed with mayonnaise and olive oil. The lamb chops are grilled with outside crispy and inside very tender and juicy. Not only the food is wonderful, the service is excellent. Our serving staff, Vasilis, is a friendly and funny guy. I love the selfie he took for us amd his pleasant smile which made us enjoy the dinner even more. He also taught us Greece to wrap up our good experience.

Relaxing setting and delicious local cuisine

Located in the center of town. It’s hard to believe this restaurant only opened in May 2023! The food and service here is excellent. I was recommended to come here for the moussaka and it is one of the best I’ve ever had! This with a salad, milk pie, and glass of wine makes for the perfect meal in town. Service here is fast and friendly, though also allows for you to sit back and take your time. I never felt hurried or rushed at all. From the outdoor patio, you can see the towering rock formations peeking out from above. I really love the the spacious and airy setting. On the corner street which makes for great people watching too.
