Straightforward nice, cosy pub. We just had a sandwich and a drink for lunch (on a rather rainy day), but it was very good and sensibly priced. Service was very pleasant.

Really excellent food especially the Kalamari and fish and chips. Well deserved after visit to Connemara national park. Would recommend this highly.

We came here for dinner twice, the first time having fish and chips and then being more adventurous . Great menu, friendly staff, good beer.

we went for dinner last night as we both love seafood, and to say the food was to die for is a total understatement, I've dined in many Restaurants and always go for seafood above meat if I feel its a good place for seafood...More

Came here after a hike in Connemara National Park. I had the chowder which was delicious and came with lovely fresh brown bread. My husband had the Lamb Irish stew which he loved. Ambience is good - service was efficient.

Description
Veldons Seafarer Bar and Restaurant is located in Letterfrack village at one of the main crossroads in Connemara – the heart of Connemara! We are located along the Wild Atlantic Way where the landscape is shaped by the sea and the local characters are full of creativity and chat.

The bar has been a hub of activity for many years with Veldons Bar also being main grocers in the area. The old shop is now our great new restaurant.

We aim to offer a friendly welcoming atmosphere where locals and visitors can enjoy a visit.

Great food is served all day in the bar and we also have a separate restaurant. We are perfectly located for a quick coffee and sandwich before you carry on with your journey, a hearty steak after you have conquered Diamond Hill, or make a weekend of it and enjoy the ambiance of our restaurant followed by a pint in the bar!

There is always a smiling face and a warm welcome in Veldons Seafarer.
