My husband and l spent a week in Ardmore recently for a break, visiting the Cliff House Hotel both for lunch and evening meal We're slightly apprehensive in making a booking at White horses as we read the reviews online before booking a evening meal and we're both surprised and delighted at the service offer by staff upon entering. We... More

Went to Ardmore today with my friend. This restaurant was recommended by a friend, so with antisapation and looking forward to a lovely meal, we arrived at lunch time only to be greeted by a very rude member of staff with red hair. We asked her for a table for two, we were asked if we had a reservation, but... More

Beautiful meal from start to finish. We got the fillet steak and the vegetarian aubergine both of which were excellent. The highlight was the fillet steak which was melt in your mouth. Our desserts were also great and really liked the idea of going up to the counter to pick. Will definitely be back. 5 Stars.

When visiting Ardmore most will head up to the Cliff House, and the views from their terrace are quite lovely, but for those in the know it has to be Whitehorses. We visited in October with friends on what was a gorgeous afternoon of sunshine, so nice in fact that we ate al fresco in their small courtyard to the... More

We checked into the nearby Cliff House Hotel for a few days around New Years Eve and were looking for a restaurant outside the hotel for dinner the first night. They sent our group of six to Whitehorses, an easy walk from the hotel. We arrived ahead of our reservation and were shown to their garden area (which would be... More

On Sat night last I had one of the nicest NYE experiences at the Whitehorses in Ardmore. Both the tastefully decorated courtyard and candlelit room adjacent to it where there was a log-fire burning provided the perfect setting to welcome in the new year, not to mention the kindness and hospitality shown to us by our hosts who couldn't have... Called in here for something to warm us up after doing the cliff walk and we were not disappointed! We had soup, served with beautiful homemade brown bread and also the roast of the day all of which was fresh and very tasty. This was followed by two nice coffees and a banoffee pie that we would definitely go back... More

Only restaurant in Ardmore. Very basic interior. Food very good but rather expensive compared to the setting in Cliff house hotel. Service decent but nothing special

Just enjoyed a gorgeous family Sunday afternoon meal at Whitehorses. The hake was a particular treat. Along with generous servings of roasties and crunchy vegetables. Followed by delicious pudding. Highly recommended.
