The décor and atmosphere is traditional Spanish, yet it feels more authentic and of higher quality than most tapas restaurants - just like the food. We went family style and ordered a selection of dishes - all of them were great, here are some of the ones that stood out: (1) You absolutely must try their sliced, fried eggplant with... More

We visited El Toston in November 2016 for dinner. It had long been a favourite of ours and we've had many excellent lunches and dinners there. As soon as we walked in, we felt it was different, not the usual staff and a very different menu albeit still in menu folders with the El Toston name embossed on them .... More

We had dinner last night December 14th and it was great. Started with langoustine pil pil which we shared and I had duck breast cooked in a mustard sauce with fresh vegetables and potatoes and Marina had pan fried fresh hake. Fantastic and almost too much food. A great bottle of the house rioja and a dessert of chocolate mille... More

A large group of us visited last wk. Accommodated the eight of us although had to book two days in advance. Do have a Spanish speaker with you as it makes it more easy to order as waiters English poor. But service outstanding. Starters can be ordered in separate dishes for all to share and taste. Must have had approx... More

We visit here every summer when we are in Fuengirola and have never been disappointed. Sadly tonight was a total let-down. I ordered the piri piri cod which, along with the accompanying veg, arrived less than hot. My husband's ox chop was rather fatty and although the desserts were their saving grace (chocolate brownie and white chocolate fondant) the owner... More

Booked here for table for four with friends the night before. We were warned that they had a table of approx 30 ladies for dinner from a golf club but to be fair, on the night although they had that and a wedding recption in the private space at the rear of the restaurant and a full restaurant, the service... Visited in a group of 10 ,We were very well looked after , we let the owner choose the food ( tapas ) and the wine . Both were excellent and it was a very enjoyable evening and fairly priced.

I have lived on the Costa del Sol for many years. I speak fluent Spanish and fully integrate with the local customs and traditions. For these very reasons, I used to eat a lot at El Toston as the food was simple and good (although expensive) and the atmosphere typically Spanish. So for my 46th birthday this week I chose... More

We always have a great meal at this restaurant at a very reasonable price. The wine list is extensive and always available at all prices .You only get what you got as regards to quality of the wine. First class service at all times. The previous critic must have been at a different restaurant !
