A good selection of food, not over-priced, and if you want a great view out over the sea. My wife loves the pasta dishes they offer here, and I love to visit at lunch time for my facourute snack of ctspy chicken strips with bbq sauce, above all else lovely, friendly and happy staff to serve tou.

This place looked good from the Balcon, and the views were good; a great spot for a drink perhaps, however, not impressed with the dinner service which was somewhat indifferent, the food was ok but not thrilling. It is a cash only establishment.

We had lunch here twice, brilliant salads on the lovely balcony overlooking the sea The crispy duck salad was especially good and unusual.

We had arrived late afternoon in Nerja and popped into town for a meal. Portofino is adjacent to Balcon de Europa and has great views of the sea. We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful waiter who advised s about the menu and best place to sit. The food, mainly Italian, is unite good and very reasonably priced.... More

Goat cheese salad here is delicious, has dried apples and walnuts in there and a honey dressing. Goat cheese itself is good quality. the pasta for the children was lovely. It could do with credit card facilities, and it is a little bit expensive even for the area.

Location is stunning, pity the food doesn't match up. Don't get me wrong it's perfectly acceptable and if you could mark half points I would score 3.5. I thought the service was friendly and efficient and the prices were reasonable for a special location.

Saw a restaurant from Balcon de Europa with a good terrace and wanted to try I went there to have my breakfast another day and only thing I like was the terrace from where you see and listen to the waves of sea. The service wasn't that good the girls working there could not speak english but as for a... More

This place has an enviable location looking over the sea. The terrace is superb. However the food doesn't match the view. Whilst the menu includes attractive Italian items it all seems a bit mechanical and contrived. I'm sure many people will be happy but we look a bit further than the fancy view. The interior is drab and nobody sits... More

Right next to the balcone d'Europe we were lucky to get a table on the edge of the terrace and could people watch whilst enjoying some simple Italian food. I had a lasagne with prawns and my wife had a salad. Both were delicious and a great change from fried fish, delicious as that can be. The bill was very... More
