We only discovered this place because of the queue of locals leaving. The decor is very dated but the welcome is sincere, the food tasty and the sweets Devine. Our only negative is the house wine which was very average.

Great little cake shop where you can "pick and mix" from a wide variety of the types of cakes your granny might have baked. You can sit down and eat them in the shop, but we took ours to the nearby garden and ate them...More
Wow, total Tripadvisor failure. Dreadfull food albeit cheap not worth the money. Looked sort of shifty only walked in because of Tripadvisor recommendation. Horrible, stay clear. Waste of money and unpleasant expierience. Has some sort of old established place glam about it but total spoof....More
I don't know what we missed that others seem to enjoy. The pastries at Casa Egon were not to our liking (and we tried several). We were actually shocked that we couldn't find a single one we liked. Maybe it's a preference thing. We had...More
Good food, family run, delicious selection of pastries and cakes, outside eating area in the municipal park. I have been visiting Cafe Taoro for over 20 years. It's in a side road up from the Mercadona supermarket.
When you enter this place you travel to the past: to those old cafeterias where you can have a nice coffee plus a piece of cake or other sweet delicacy. And that's what you get: delicious treats to take away or to have in the...More
We just had our dinner in that lovely place and we found true canarian people, food and cakes. We found it on a travel book and we wanted to have a look at the place. Very nice indeed, you enter in the small bakery before...More
With more than 100 years, this place is the perfect spot for coffee and pudding after a nice meal. The selection of sweets and pastries is huge, and all of them are delicious.
We have ordered "Canary Menu" and the soup wasn't bad (except we didn't get spoons from waitress - needed to take them by own) but potatoes were disgusting. This (soup and 6 potatoes + drink) costs us 10 eur. First time both of us returned...More
Came in the back entrance from the gardens looking for some late Sunday lunch. What a great surprise - make sure you go to the front and pick your cakes.
