My wife and I visited the cafe at Lunesdale Bakery on three occasions during our visit to Kirkby Lonsdale. The food was exceptionally good each time. Freshly cooked, first class ingredients and generous portions. Highly recommended!

Whilst we stayed in the area we had bacon and egg/sausage butties to take away a couple of times which were really good value for money, there were 3 thick rashers of bacon and 2 eggs on each sandwich and more than enough sausage on the other sandwich, so much that our dog thoroughly enjoyed the extra sausages with his... Having been several times in the past for a breakfast with a log fire, we couldn't wait to go for breakfast. We arrived at 1/4 to 12, with no tables spare and was told to wait over there by a rude Scottish waitress while the tables cleared. We sat at 12pm exactly and were told we were too late for... More

Tucked away behind the bakery frontage is a cafe with serious potential. THE FOOD IS BAKED and as far as I was aware not microwaved. I had seafood pie....the first time in my life. I have always hated sea food pie.....for some reason this caught my eye. There was no pastry, thank goodness, simply cream sauce and cod/prawns/salmon in a... More

We were both amused and outraged to read a very shouty A4 page in the menu explaining that they do not serve tap water because they cannot afford to pay their staff to run around serving free drinks. My advice would be lower your food prices slightly and you might find your paying customers more inclined to fork out the... More

Lunesdale Bakery is set within the beautiful town of Kirkby Lonsdale. When entering I was blown away with the array of beautiful cakes, bakes and pastries. I definitely thought we were in for a treat. Unfortunately it was downhill from here. The items on the menu looked very nice, but I couldn't help but be taken back by a page... More

Sometimes doing reviews on Tripadvisor leaves you in a quandary on how to review. Lunesdale Bakery is one of those reviews. At the front it is a traditional bakery with a cafe at the back. We were visitors to the area and in KL for the first time and with a dog. So the sign saying dogs welcome was a... More
