I had a fantastic dinner at the Amalfi last Sunday, great atmosphere lovely music and the service by Lorenzo up to the top all an all super experience.
I definitely recommend this amazing restaurant in the heart of cotswolds
We visited this lovely Italian restraunt on the first night of our mini-moon in the Cotswolds. We hadn't reserved anything for this night as we thought we may eat in. We found it by browsing the web and am so glad we decided to go...there for dinner. It has a welcoming family vibe and relaxed ambience. The decor reminded me of a trip on the amalfi coast with gorgeous standout paintings. The staff where attentive and accomodating. I had a gorgeous Ravioli, which was off the specials menu. It was a delightful dish with generous amounts of salmon, calamari, prawn. My husband enjoyed a creamy chicken spinach pasta dish.
This is a lovely little Italian restraunt for a relaxed evening, date night and family meals.More
Absolutely amazing.. food, service, atmosphere… made in Italy through and through.. got there without a reservation and even though they were busy they took us in and treated us amazingly well.. even the children adored being there.. we will definitely be back and highly recommend...itMore
We had planned to eat here on the second night of our stay but when the service was so bad at our first restaurant I phoned Amalfi to see if they could accommodate us at short notice and they were able to.
The meal was...superb. We shared olives and a garlic bread starter followed by seafood pasta dishes, accompanied by an excellent house red wine.
We enjoyed our visit so much that we came again on our last day and it was just as good.
Highly recommended and we'll definiteky be back next time we're in the area.More
We booked Amalfi for my birthday. Not being from the area we booked based on the glowing reviews…what a disappointment!
Our waiter was rude from the start, however all the other staff were lovely, maybe it was a bad night for him. I asked a...simple request to change my glass and the waiter slammed a glass on our table and walked off chuntering under his breath. The steak came out blue-rare when we asked for it medium and the peppercorn sauce was brown water with a few peppercorns chucked in. We didn't dare try desert to have it thrown at us and be further disappointed.
Not the nice birthday meal we had planned and I wont be recommending the restaurant. May be we went on a “bad night” but no excuse for the service we received.More
Great evening meal on holiday with friends. Excellent menu with lots of choice (Including Gluten and Dairy Free options) A variety of dishes were ordered and all were excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful and, despite being very busy, there was a great atmosphere. Highly...RecommendedMore
