We have been to this cafe many times and always find the food to be excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful and the cafe is dog friendly. We can recommend the breakfast baps as the don't skimp on the fillings and I especially like...having a ham and cheese omelette as this is always cooked to perfection. Children like the milkshakes too.More

Well not when I tried to go there. Also photo doesn't appear to be what it looks like now. Looks really run down. Not that I would know what the inside looks like as it was closed at approx 130 in the afternoon.

I and a walking friend go out once a month, a typical routine being to catch a bus using our Senior Citizen Pass, and to walk back. Yesterday we caught a bus from Nailsworth to Tetbury and walked back. A lot of effort goes into...planning these walks an integral part of which is our refreshment stop. There is plenty of choice in Nailsworth, and we were guided by the excellent reviews in Trip Advisor. I share all my experiences on Trip Advisor, my criteria for awarding stars being, quantity (I like a good breakfast), quality, value, surroundings, and service. All boxes were emphatically ticked, and with the warm and friendly service, the experience was more pleasureable than many others I have awarded 5 stars.More

I think this might be known as the Upstairs and Downstairs Cafe now? Either way, we thoroughly enjoyed cooked Veggie and English cooked breakfasts there this week. Very accommodating staff, particularly for our dog. Decor is simple but pleasant, and is clearly well liked by...people of various backgrounds and ages.More

Stopped for coffee and cake, very happy and will visit again when in the area. Others around us were having lunch and the food looked delicious.

James not only makes the best coffee but also the best soup in Nailsworth which is why Ray and I go nearly every week. The cafe is small but always friendly and welcoming -a bit like going to a friend's house for a coffee or...lunch with both good food and good conversation on offer. It is being refurbished this week and so will be closed for a short while.More

This is my favourite cafe in Nailsworth, It's not the fanciest, biggest or most fashionable but it gives you great food at reasonable prices. More than that, you can very quickly get drawn into conversations and friendly chat with some of the many regulars who...cram into this little gem. James the owner makes excellent soups in generously sized bowls. The lite english breakfast is also very good and James is always ready to be flexible in what you order. A relaxed little cafe where you can soon feel part of the town.More

Have been several times for coffee when in Nailsworth as their coffee is excellent.. Relaxed vibe and very friendly staff. Went when it first opened and am really pleased that it has become so popular. Bought some coffee for Xmas present for my son who...loves good coffee. Smells amazing he said on opening it and since then has confirmed it tastes amazing too.More

Not Mondays. James can be a bit erratic with his opening hours but we regulars love him and put up with it anyway! Persevere - he's a one man band and sometimes that means he has to close to deal with...life. His soups are... More
