Excellent reviews on here so decided to give pub a go. Was not disappointed. Mushroom soup for both of us as starter..... Absolutely gorgeous, full of flavour and most definitely homemade! Hubby had rump steak and i had deluxe chicken breast burger as mains, homemade perfect chips and onion rings too. I was totally beat! Lovely food and friendly welcoming... More

We still call here at regular intervals for tea or a treat with visiting friends. Really cannot recommend this pub enough, the food is wonderful and a lovely ambience. Please try the veggie sausage and mash...oh yum. The gravy is out of this world.

Had Sunday dinner here today with my husband, brother and sister in law. They had been before and recommended we join them. We ended up having 3 courses and can't recommend it enough. Food was great, generous portions sizes and casual atmosphere. I was thrilled to have a vegetarian option however turned out I had a choice! Really nice touch.... More

We stopped in here whilst passing. I can honestly say it was the best burger of my life! (and I eat a lot of burgers!) It was early December and the Christmas decorations looked amazing, the fire was burning and the staff were so kind and helpful. I will be making a point of going back even though I have... More

Me and a group of friends were stopping nearby for New Years, and decided to pop in for a meal. Staff were very accommodating, considering we were a group of 9. Food was excellent, no one had a bad thing to say. All steaks, were cooked perfectly to each preference. Very generous portions. Would recommend anyone, who is stopping in... More

Visited for the first time with a party of 8. The food was fantastic and worth what we paid. Staff were attentive enough, with good attention to detail. Service was a little slow, the only reason for not given 5/5

We visited here as a group of 9 the night before New Years eve, the food was all exceptional, I had the gammon and definitely recommend although I was defeated by the huge portion, in fact I don't think any one in our group managed to get through their whole meal, I would say definitely don't have a starter!
