What a pleasure to go to a traditional pub with coal fire still going in the corner, the food was lovely and very reasonably priced ,the staff were very friendly and made you feel at home the minute you entered till it was time to go...I would definitely recommend a visit if you get the chance we can’t wait to go backMore

We have been coming to Creebridge for 25 years plus, and on every visit (once every 12/18 months), the quality of the food, wine selection available and service, seems to get worse and worse. Let me start by the interior design. Really? After 20 years...is it not time for an update? The toilets are simply awful, and I will leave that there. The service: there was an older lady working the evening we were in and she was friendly and helpful, but most of the other staff were either clueless or in the case of a young waitress who served us, downright rude. I asked her if she had a wine menu to which she replied yes, and left it there! So I had to say, well can I see it please? When she came to take the order her exact words were “are you ready to order or what”? Unbelievable!!! The wine by the glass selection, for anyone with a reasonable good palate for wine was horrible, I tasted one and promptly ordered a G&T! ( No Fevertree here btw). The food was edible, but average and the vegetables seriously overcooked. Unfortunately, the selection of restaurants in Newton Stewart is limited, so unless we want to drive, we will probably have to come back here. Hopefully in 12/18 months things may have improved.More

We stopped here for dinner with the kids on our visit to Scotland . Really relaxing place in a beautiful setting. The food was delicious, and the staff were wonderful. The outside area was clean and had plenty of space, including a play area to...keep the kids ready while our food was being prepared. I would like to try the indoor restaurant next time as that also looked fabulous! 10 out of 10!More

We came here for dinner a couple of months ago & still remember the excellent service we had from Leanne - really warm, kind & helpful. Thank you! Our initial impression wasn't great, having received a very lukewarm 'welcome' from the guy behind the bar,...but it all improved in the dining room where the staff (all female) were fantastic. As it happened, we were mainly looked after by Leanne & she was brilliant. The food was terrific - particularly enjoyed the burger. The bill was a nice surprise too - very good value for money. If we lived in the area we'd definitely be regular visitors.More

I have to admit to lying to two members of staff. We ordered our main, neither wanted a starter. I ordered the drinks. The drinks came and we waited for 30 minutes. The mains arrived, they were delicious. But time wore on, no one came...to ask if we enjoyed, or wanted more drinks or wanted desert, or coffee? Time passed. We both dearly wanted a pudding, time passed. The table next to ours got up and left having been ignored after their main, paid and left. Every staff member suddenly was gone, anyone who appeared seemed intent on doing something other than looking at us or attending to us. I got fed up. We decided to leave. I offered to pay at the bar. The lady I booked the table with, seemed totally focused on an order for a new diner. She said “Was everything alright?” I lied so as not to hurt her feelings. She excused herself and left the till/bar area. Finally someone else asked if everything was all right. Again I lied in case they wouldn’t let me out; like hotel California. I asked to pay. Paid. Never again. I wonder if I’m invisible?More

We had an excellent three-course dinner, all of the food was delicious and we especially liked the dessert! Very pleasant staff, great service. We were in the dining room overlooking the gardens. Lovely experience. Highly recommend. You may need to book in advance for weekend...meals. There is also a lovely garden at the back with seating to have a drink.More

We visited yesterday, booked a table over the phone, all handled efficiently . A friendly welcome. I had the Pork Belly and my wife Sea Bass. Both were really excellent. Our waitress was lovely. We’ll definitely return. We were limited in time as we had...booked tickets for the cinema but we want to return and spend more time. Highly recommendedMore

Staying locally for a week and decided to go in with our dog, (first time he's been in a pub), for a couple of drinks. The barman, Kenny, couldn't have been more welcoming, (even the dog thought so, although that might have been because of...the dog biscuits). The wee dog behaved himself so we decided to go back a couple of nights later. Again the staff were very friendly, (more dog biscuits for the wee fella). We decided to stay and eat and both meals were excellent. I had the steak pie and my wife had the lasagna. We will definitely be back before the end of our holiday.More

Great food, served by very helpful and friendly staff. The restaurant is calm and uncrowded, the bar warm and welcoming with roaring fires and trad country decor. Go at least once a month.

We were accomodated without booking with no problem at all! The service was great, all staff were attentive and food was really good. Nice range on the menu so something for everyone. We have booked again for later in the week to end our break...away as we had no room for puddings this time and they looked amazing, so have got to try!More
