Great food, and Sunday roast was great. Pink beef and extra yorkshires as requested. Lovely beef which was definitely carved for us, and not heated up. Chicken was lovely, and trout perfect. Starters of Calamari and pate were first class. We shared a rhubarb and ginger trifle..... very very good. Well priced drinks, and very attentive staff. We left very... More

Dear Donald, Why would you write a review saying that we are expensive after visiting us over a year ago.!!!! Our prices reflect the quality of food, the superb selection of wines ,beers and spirits, the unique setting and the fantastic staff and atmosphere. I would also like to point out that we never raise our prices no matter what... More

We looked for a table today (never visited before however they accommodated dogs), delighted when we were offered a table albeit table was in area with obvious access for people getting in / out. Our dog is small so we always pride ourself on being responsible dog owners and given potential risk to customers tripping over him my parter held... More

Dear Wenrho, I have spoken to the manager who asked you to keep your dog on the floor yesterday and she assured me that she only explained that dogs were always welcome as long as they were kept on a lead and on the floor. We have many other customers who do not have pets and therefore do not appreciate... More

A great day at the adjacent golf course topped off by a splendid meal at this very quirky pub. Very friendly and competent staff. An extensive menu - a great choice of beers ad wine and a pub decorated with a plethora of unusual of photos and objects. My steak was A!

On a wet Saturday afternoon, which transformed itself into sunshine we popped into this pub and had a delicious bowl of Cullen Skink. Absolutely lovely and highly recommended.

A good atmosphere to accompany the tasty food and decent selection of wines ensured a revisit the following night. On both visits the management and staff alike were extremely helpful, reassuring and attentive to my allergy along with general service that is second to none, both on busy weekend evenings. Nothing was to much trouble and the genuine hospitality made... More

We visit the old clubhouse once each year, so this is a an annual review for me. Save to say the service just gets better and better. the food is a good as ever with a menu that varies and yet keeps one or two of the favourites too (Cullen Skink). If you're wanting a few drinks, a quick chat... More

I don't normally eat fish and chips in restaurants but the haddock here is what I would say is the best. The menu is varied with some Scottishness thrown in. Reasonably price with cheerful service. I visit when ever in Gullane and would certainly recommend it.

The Old Club House is always an inviting place to meet, drink and mix with the locals, and of course the large number of golfers in the area. The bar is lively but can be a little crowded at times. The restaurant offers a quiet retreat, as well as a varied menu and excellent staff. I was mildly disappointed with... More

The Old Clubhouse is situated in central Gullane, overlooking the locally famed links course. Built in 1890, this attractive half-timbered venue was originally intended to be a meeting place for Gullanes golfers, and though the club soon outgrew it, The Old Clubhouse remains popular with those fresh off the greens and maintains the exclusive ambience of a members club, with its reputation for fine food and warm welcome spreading far beyond the town itself. Unsurprisingly, a strong golfing theme is seen throughout the bar, with plenty of old photographs of the course and the club as well as quirky memorabilia dotted around the space, cosy club chairs and deep banquettes providing comfortable seating, encouraging you to stay and relax beyond your meal. Drawing on local produce, The Old Clubhouses menu is eclectic and inspiring, particularly known for its steaks and fish, the central offerings of the mainly pub-food-with-a-twist collection of dishes. The wine list is as well considered as the food offerings, and The Old Clubhouse has recently become known for homemade ice creams and sorbets, the ideal treat after a hard morning of stick and ball.
